Story

Dr Troy Stokic is a General Dentist with a passion for Preventive-related treatments. He has designed an intensive preventive program for children aged 2-18yrs and added a unique games room. He is determined to take the fear and trepidation out of dentistry, making each visit a pleasant experience.

Troy is a big kid at heart, he loves to have fun, smile and laugh a lot. He has incorporated a number of arcade games in Cherrygum dental, primarily to show children that a visit to the dentist can be fun and enjoyable, and secondly to act as a reward for those children who show great improvements in their oral health care.

I highly recommend this place. My son had 4 cavities and previous dentistry recommended treatment in hospital under total anesthetic, because he wasn't very comfortable in the chair. Dr Maryam from Cherrygum made him feel very comfortable and happy so we were able to do the treatment under local anesthetic on multiple visits. My son was always happy to go back. The whole team make us feel very welcome and was very helpful. Thank you!
Troy is a fantastic dentist making the experience relaxing, and even fun. Watch a nature doco while having your teeth cleaned. Play games while waiting and even get rewarded with a goodie bag and toy for kids.
This is the fourth visit and the first three were nice and professional. The environment was great for kids. The lady dentist was very friendly. However, for this visit, issues start from booking. They have completely lost my registration form which I filled at first visit and didn't fill any form for visit 2 or 3 last year. I had to scan in the invoice from last time to id myself with them and they still couldn't find my son's detail. After the dentist checks my son's tooth found cavities in 2 spots, he said because of the depth they need to be an x-ray. My son felt uncomfortable with the Intraoral Phosphor Plates which I think should be one size smaller for kids as it requires a kid to bite tight to hold in position. For a 4yo kid, it feels very uncomfortable to have something that big in the mouth and keep closed. something with an attachment to hold that plate would be a much better way to have it done. When I complain about the size and hardness of that plate, he said this was the smallest they have and suggested not many 4yo have cavities that are deep enough to need an x-ray. And when we both gave up on trying to x-ray my son, he asked about how we brush my son's teeth and which type of toothpaste we used. I said the ones that your dentist gave us last time. But trust me he doesn't even know which brand of toothpaste he's staff was giving away. He then said he has to refer us to a kids' specialist to put my son into sleep and do the x-ray. Wasn't a pleasant visit, asked the reception why the dentist was with such an attitude, the answer was he's the owner. I referred this business to my friend's daughter because was happy with the first few visits. But my friend got exactly the same experience. Maybe stay away from that male dentist if you have a young kid. He seems to be very professional on what's he's doing and could be good with older kids but definitely wouldn't recommend if your kids are young.
Took my 4 year old for his first visit. The waiting area is amazing and fun for all ages. The staff was friendly and professional, the premises inviting and clean. The dentist Troy was amazing, so patient, calm and made everyone feel at ease. Hghly recommend this dentist. Extremely satisfied.
First time at the dentist for my almost 4 year old. Great experience with interactive kids area and Dr Troy was gentle and patient in his manner. Will definitely recommend!
Absolutely amazing service from both Amy at reception, the wonderful nurse and of course Dr.Troy! Always the best service from these staff members and even when I needed an emergency tooth replacement, Troy and his team went above and beyond to try and sort my problem out as fast as possible even when I messaged the facebook page at midnight! I Will continue going to Cherry gum forever!
From the moment you walk in you understand the feeling of this surgery designed with making people feel at ease and professionalism. Designed for both kids and grown ups with two rooms one set-up with all the colours and posters for the kids and the other set just right for the adults. Recently built and fitted out with the latest of technologies, not even a spit bowl in sight! a 50" LCD on the ceiling with a selection of distractions to suit your taste! Troy understands dentistry from those that lie in the chair and not being a big fan of dentists my visit to Cherrygum was a very pleasing experience. An injection with No pain! Being kept up-to date with all I needed to know and experienced professional staff that constantly made you feel that you were there to be supported. Many thanks, I would highly reccomend Cherrygum Dental and thanks for my great looking teeth!
Troy checked and fixed my teeth. Like the environment and the approach Troy has taken to make Dentist a nice place to be. Can't wait till I get my new Invisalign invisible braces so I can get my teeth straight. Troy explains every procedure he does, so it's ok to ask.
Troy looked after myself and my two young daughters very well. A very kid friendly dentist. My girls want to go back!
