I live across the other side of Melbourne and just popped in last week on my way to a job. Was happy with how staff helped me find the products I needed until I reached the counter.......

I was met by an older, blonde lady (I think her name badge read Chrissie), who I overheard gossiping about other staff as I queued. How disrespectful. She proceeded to greet me with an attitude that one would expect from a two year old and seemed utterly shocked when I put my somewhat heavy basket on the counter. She snatched the products and continued giving greasy looks while failing to bag my items. I'm unsure she understands the concept of customer service. 

On my way out she DEMANDED another staff member replace her on the counter, disregarding the fact that this particular staff member was busy giving advice to a customer. 

Shame that one person is letting what seems like a good team down at this store.

AVOID HER.

Its alright i guess. A lot of stuff is always missing from the shelves, Either great business with products flying out their doors, or lazy store person / stock controllers. Its close by i guess but i still prefer elsewhere. ie Chadstone. 1 star for close by, 1 star because its chemist warehouse.

Asked for over the counter medication and was treated like a criminal. Wanted certified identification. There are no legal grounds for such a request. I am elderly, not some young long haired pun k Not that that's a reason to refuse to supply medication. Went to the chemist 50 meters away and was treated with respect and supplied the item no problem. Who do these people think they are the pill police..

A supermarket style store with no one at the cashier to take your money at 8.15 am and then to be abused for complaining about the delay is typical of this establishment. Low prices should not necessarily  mean poor service and not for the first time. I've seen the manager/owner in action arguing with a lady who had a legitimate complaint.  I will vote with my feet and go elsewhere in future and strongly encourage others to do the same. Chemist Warehouse have taken a stranglehold on this market with their discount stores - must we suffer discount service? Posted by - a Business Man with 40 years retail experience. (Sadly customer service is quickly becoming a thing of the past, and they wonder why on-line is booming !)
