I visited this store today 1:30 pm 18-Jan-2026 for returning an item and I had to deal with a an older lady staff or manager at the register who was rude, unfriendly with lots of attitude. She should be taught the basic lessons of customer service.nnA young male staff then intervened and explained to me politely, hence 2 stars . 1/2 star to that rude lady.
I had an extremely distressing and humiliating experience at Chemist Warehouse Knox City on Burwood Highway this evening around 5:40 pm.nnI attended the pharmacy with a valid prescription. A male staff member advised the medication was not in stock but confirmed with the male pharmacist that it could be ordered in for the following day. Shortly after, a female pharmacist intervened and refused to order it.nnShe spoke loudly enough for other customers to hear and repeatedly stated that the medication was “abortion medication,” discussing it publicly despite my visible distress.nnI was left in tears and felt completely humiliated. To make matters worse, when I asked for my paper prescription back, it was initially refused before eventually being returned.nnI would normally never post something this private in a public review, but given what happened today, I feel it’s important to warn other vulnerable women. Regardless of personal beliefs, no customer should have their private medical information discussed publicly or be treated without compassion and respect. This experience breached basic standards of privacy and dignity and had a significant emotional impact on me.
Rating on behalf of a friend. Months ago went in to buy his ventolin. Was asked to provide his “drivers license”, which he does not have. When he said “I don’t have a drivers license” he was berated and humiliated.n“What do you mean you don’t have a drivers licence?” Not once did she realise she should’ve been asking for ID- not specifically a Drivers License- she was just rude and degrading, arrogant and dogmatic about it.nFast forward to yesterday when same friend required some documents to be signed. Same staff- was told to “go to the front and wait there” he obliged. she then stood watching him wait for at least 5 minutes. Ignoring the service required. Not sure if she doesn’t like white males, or is just this rude and obliging to everyone she comes across. It was enough to make him walk out and say- that’s it, never again
Had a really disappointing experience at Chemist Warehouse Knox Westfield on 3/8/25 around 1:45 PM. I went to collect my click and collect order and asked the staff member, an older lady named Debbie, if I could also collect my husband’s order since he was waiting in the car with our baby.nnDebbie was immediately rude and dismissive, telling me, “That’s not your name and he hasn’t authorised you to collect it,” without offering any solutions or even asking for ID. When I asked for a refund, she said she’d call her manager but then walked off mid-interaction to serve someone else, leaving me standing there with no explanation. I felt humiliated and completely disrespected.nnMy husband came in to collect the order himself and was being helped by a younger male staff member who was polite and efficient. Debbie interrupted again, falsely claiming I had already taken the order. Thankfully, the male staff member and store manager Lachlan were lovely to deal with and resolved the issue respectfully. I want to stress that the only outlier at the store was Debbie. Unfortunately the appalling customer service provided by Debbie has discredited the rest of the team at the store.nnWhat’s more concerning is that I’ve since seen another review mentioning an older lady at this store and alleged racism towards Asian customers. Sadly, I felt similar racial bias in the way my husband and I were treated. Debbie’s tone and attitude from the start were unnecessarily harsh, and the whole experience left us feeling targeted and unwelcome.nnI’ve been a loyal Chemist Warehouse customer for years but this was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. Debbie needs better training in basic courtesy, respect, and cultural sensitivity.
Friendly staff, available most stock, easy parking, friendly security, full stock of vitamins, nutritions.
