Went for lunch with a friend family on a Saturday. Food was below average. It was only very few options to choose from. Dhal, beans, cabbage, beef curry, polos, some kinda other fry. No dessert option at all. Service was pretty bad; the girl at the front told, help urself whenever u want. No drinks were offered. Was very disappointed with the food and the service. Topping up the bad experience, we got pretty bad food poisoning as well. Wouldn’t ever go there or recommend to anyone. Worse Lankan restaurant ever.
The service was really friendly and the dinner buffet is great. They could use some more drinks knowledge, but it's non-essential for a great experience and value for money. I've been back on non-buffet nights and had wonderful meals and will go back again soon. It's a quiet area for good restaurants so it's nice to have one which offers flavourful dishes not just 3-5 ingredient mash-ups to go to - I hope they last!
Delicious Sri Lankan food, superior meal selection, delectable buffet; extremely attractive prices. As my own experience this is the best Sri Lankan restaurant I've ever been to. I'm fully satisfied with their very good customer service and Sri Lankan pride.
A favourite of mine everytime I'm down in Melbourne. Great food, great price, really friendly and helpful staff - a bit of an undiscovered gem! Worth a visit for some deliciously spiced Sri Lankan specialties particularly if you're already a fan of Indian food.
Was very disappointed in the food and service. Lady was quite rude to me. The food was cold and very tasteless. We could not even order from a menu it was all you can eat and they only had a couple of dishes. I had taken my mum and sister for the first time and they both were sick after eating the food. The one star was for the can of coke.
The buffet was really average, the vegetable dishes were good apart from that all other dishes were bland and average. Nobody offered any drinks or anything, it seemed like they are understaffed. Dont think il return for the buffet.
I went for lunch 11.00am with my family. There was only one serving staff member female there at that time in the front. She needs to learn the means of hospitality. She never smiled with us, the other elderly couple came for lunch, or with the chinese gents who gave a considerably large order. Chef's hard work and talent can be blasted in a second by such dismayed front staff.
The girl who work in reception is rude. It says the place close at 10pm in their menu. But this girl refused to take us in at 8.30pm. Teach her how to smile and greet and how to deal with ur customers. Food is so good by the way...!!!
Food was awful. The buffet consisted of dry rice and bland, unappetising and lifeless curries. The atmosphere in the restaurant was okay. There were little options for vegetarians and the service was appalling.
Worst cafe ever. Yesterday we went there and non of the food on the Facebook page wasn't there. On FB page they mention about fish, crab, polos and Watalappam. But nothing was there. And the lady on the counter never smile. I think she bought her family problems to restaurant. And the caramel on the dessert was worst I've ever had. Too much sugar. Don't go there. Not worth for money. Ruined our night completely.
