Nestled in the heart of Cavill Mall in Surfers Paradise.
Like an enduring, reliable Aussie mate, Charlie's Restaurant Bar & Cafe has been a friend to locals and tourists for more than 35 years. Welcoming, accepting without judgement, happy to have you around even when you're not looking your best and knows how to serve a good 100 per cent Aussie beef burger – with a genuine Aussie smile – a good mate. Beginning life as a sandwich shop in 1976, Charlie's (although it first opened under a different name) fast evolved into a friendly diner where local beachgoers and holidaymakers could quench their thirst and fill their stomachs before returning to bask upon our world-famous patch of sand and sea.

Welcomed upon entering. Friendly and laid back. Quick service. I had bbq chicken wings and chips. Generous serving. Place is very clean even outside tables. Will come back here again. Highly recommend 

Breakfast was good. Had the big breakfast heaps of bacon all cooked as requested. Loved the sausage. Coffee good and hot

Good location. Spacious. You have indoor and outdoor tables. Good coffee and food is nice.

Food was pretty good but apart from a couple of stand out wait staff, the service was ordinary.

When you specifically ask for soft poached eggs and get soft boiled... Not hard... Buy a timer...

Do not get the seafood plate, it is essentially a deep fried beer batter plate, not worth the $30.

Outstanding, our last night on the Gold Coast and we lucked out and picked this place. Awesome fish plate, very fresh, wife loved he schnitzel and the staff are extremely friendly and efficient. Thanks guys.
