I was very dissatisfied after purchasing a car from here 2 months ago . In the 2 month of owning the car there has been nothing but problems. Only 2 days after purchasing one the car the battery was discovered by a mechanic friend to be "close to exploding" to which he also brought to our attention a leak in diff also the speedo worked intermittently. We contacted the company to which the took the car back to there so called mechanics. 2 days later the car returned and were told that the diff hadn't been leaking that it had been the rocket cover gasket which they had been REPAIRED . Within the week the speedo that had supposedly been fixed wasn't working again. Since then they have now had the car back 2 more ATTEMPTS for the speedo to be fixed. I have since taken it to my own mechanics to get the car looked at and have been told that the diff has a leak and so does the rocket cover gasket and many other places inc leaking large brake fluid . Very disappointing as some of these faults fall under a road worthy.please do not make the same mistake we have.
I am from SA and have been looking for a quality F250, which I found one of many on carsales.com.au. I emailed an enquiry to the seller and got a prompt reply, and a follow up phone call on the weekend of making the enquiry. My interest in the vehicle continued to the point of making an offer subject to an RACV inspection. I had a mate in Melbourne inspect the vehicle, which Darc gave him all the time in the world. In the meantime I did the diligent thing and review the google reviews on the business, which I must say I become extremely nervous due to the comments made mind you some were great. Given the relationship I had experienced with Darc to that point, I pressed on. The purpose of the vehicle for me was to tow a boat and trailer in excess of 5.5T, which I understood the F250 could tow in SA. My offer was accepted by Darc, I had arranged for an RACV inspection which Darc happily assisted with arranging the inspection. Today I found out from an engineer that the boat and trailer I own cannot be towed by an F250. This was a very embarrassing position for me, especially to then have to advise the dealer I no longer could proceed. I did this by text, which I got a phone call from Darc an hour or so later asking I call him back, which I did after hours tonight. Darc was very understanding and genuinely interested in why the towing standard couldn't be met. He wished me well and thanked me for showing interest in the vehicle. All I can say is that from my personal experience I have nothing but glowing remarks and respect for Darc, his professionalism and genuine intent to help me out was exceptional. I found him to be a genuine all round good bloke. Please note I am from SA, have no professional, personal or previous association with Darc or his business. Totally recommend Jansen 4 x 4 to any prospective purchaser. Troy from Port Lincoln SA.
BEWARE DO NOT BUY FROM. IF YOU SAY YOUR GOING TO BUY AND UPON INSPECTIIN OF A VEHICLE PULL OUT DUE TO THE CONDITION YOU WILL COP ABUSE FROM PHONE CALLS TO TEXT MESSAGES. We looked at a Nissan online and my husband phoned to speak with the salesman to be informed the narvara was in A1 condition had only had highway use. We were asked to put down $1000 deposit. YES WE DID SIGN A CONTACT OUR MISTAKE. Upon driving 3 hours to arrange purchasing the vehicle we were very disappointed in the car it took the guy 3 x to glow the plugs which is very uncommon in a diesel vehicle, turbo was leaking oil, the radiator didn’t have bolts to hold it in place, under the vehicle had a lot of bash marks from being off road and the tub was like someone had no care in the world I was dinted everywhere. Tail light was cracked and one of the number plate lights had been broken. We were offered a 3 year warranty but the car was a price of junk. John took our banking details and said that he would have the office girls refund the deposit Monday morning then We received several phone calls from Darcy and John abusing us for not buying the car and changing his mind to now refusing to refund the deposit as they want our business WELL GUESS WHAT YOUVE LOST US, we have even had text messages from the owner and salesman with evidence admitting that they are raising their voice etc at us. Consumer affairs is involved and I hope this is a warning for people wanting to buy through Charles jansen cars and don’t do it, this whole company needs a reality check and needs to be shut down. Some people have no morals rude rude rude
People tent to write more bad reviews rather than the good ones. Obviously they are the middle man, they don’t test drive every single car that they have! so they rely on how good was the previous owner with their servicing. On saying that the car we bought its been great! had it for 6 years already hasn’t missed a beat. You can always get an inspector to check the car before the purchase. And if you didn’t that’s your own ignorance.
Where to start with the poor practices?! Wrong age of car advertised. Insisted on a 'holding deposit' overnight $400, then put the full price, ignoring this, on the contract -- twice! So stingy with petrol it was on the reserve tank. Stuffed up the Mastercard payment of temporary registration $51, so it was paid twice. Then ignored my request for reimbursement. I had to remind them about the probably useless warranty they had promised, twice. I could go on......
Arrived in Australia with a bad level of english and needed a car, I have been to Jansen 4x4. I bought a 4X4 which was displayed at 8000$ prices on their website are without RWC or Rego and ended up at +9400$ arguing that this excess is including RWC, Registration and Warranty arguing that I won't have anything to pay for a year and there was or will be I wasn't sure what he said new tyres, new battery etc... On the delivery day I had to ask for the battery as it was still an old dirty one in the engine bay and the tyres were maybe 30% thread left. 3 months later I got a mail for Vicroads saying that I had to pay my registration... I called back Mario at Jansen 4X4 and he told me that I must have misunderstood him... and If I founded anywhere on my contract that I had a one year registration included I could come back... That wasn't on the paper, Indeed. The car had 290 000km on the clock but mileage is not displayed on their website... and they told me that in Australia it is nothing. And anyway they provided a 3 years warranty! alright sounds great then! This warranty NATIONAL Warranty Company- Grand warranty is actually a cover for mechanical faults that cover up to 1000$ with a 200$ excess... And if you read on page 6 of their booklet it says that for a car that have travelled over 225 000km or vehicles of 12years of age or more at the date of purchase, servicing must be carried every 5000kms or every 3 months by a professional mechanic and you have 7 days to send them the invoice at each service or your claim might be delayed or refused. In this booklet it also says that the cost of this warranty for 36 months which I got given cost 1375$ which correspond to the "surprise excess" I paid for the car... As I got it close to the 300 000 mark and started to be suspicious, I changed the timing belt. Then realised there was an oil leak that they hidden washing the engine bay typical second hand car sellers though. Of course I should have look better before buying it but the guy seemed to be cool and friendly. Maybe too friendly, I'm still waiting to go to the restaurant with our missus if you read that Mario. Be really careful with this guys and if possible stay away from their shop and be aware of this "warranty"... I lost 10 000$ there. Hope that will help some people and that crook's shop will just shut down . I forgot to mention that there was a couple of elder french people there which I helped them as they couldn't understand at all what they were saying and they were just bringing back a car that they weren't happy about it and were struggling to get their deposit back...
After driving over an hour to inspect wheels and tyres described as 'Excellent Order 80% tred' I was confronted by wheels that were heavily damaged with gouges touched up with poorly matched paint. Two of the tyres had deep cracks around the side wall rendering them dangerous and unroadworthy. When I challenged the description given and made a counter offer based on their condition the manager became verbally abusive swearing at me. I have never made a review on this before but felt compelled to warn others of this rouge. I am genuinely concerned that others without automotive technical knowledge may fall victim to bad treatment. Be aware....
The man I spoke to enquiring about how many kms a car of my interest had done doesnt even deserve this one star. He is unprofessional and abusive. If you don't like answering questions, put everything in on the description. But I hope your business goes down the drain and for you to never start one up again. One day your potty mouth is going to get you into a lot of trouble. People deserve to be treated with respect especially when you possibly would be getting a sale out of them. Stay clear of this business unless you enjoy being told to go eff yourself and be hung up on. From what I have read in other reviews on this business. . This is not a once off. Nothing but poor reviews. How is this dealership still operational.
I went last week to jensen 4x4 to get a car for my wife and she was interested in mini cooper they had and which was priced for 14999 n when the sales guy saw the interest in my wife put the price up saying its 15999 . I still thought i will buy it for her since she was interested. the sales person asked us to put a deposit and so we did ! this happened sat evening n we were the last customers to be there. and sunday they were close and monday first thing in the morning we informed them that we aren't buying the car . we were told a cheque would be ready and that they will call us to tell us a time to collect the deposit. After few days when my wife called to ask about the money they were very mean and very disrespectful to my wife and refused to give the deposit . these people are frauds and they have no respect for customers. will not recommend any of their cars or services either . from top to bottom this place is full of lies !!!
I emailed to enquire on the km of a 4wd and got an abusive phone call from them saying I was wasting their time and the kms of the car means nothing. If they actually put the km on their ads I wouldn't have had to ask. Have heard similar experiences from other customers. Pathetic excuse for a business.
