The basic assessment undertaken by the surgeon was the same as done by the GP. Waste of time. He gave me a referral for an allergy blood test despite me telling him I was 100 % sure i had been alergic to the four allergens he was testing me for. Waste again. There is no computer in office, all filing on paper cards. The patient form doesn't even have the option of selecting the tile 'Ms'. Hasn't been updated since 1950. Timewarp. Update: I had to drive to Knox Private hospital to pay the bill via EFT as they didn't have EFT payment option at Dandenong rooms. About 6 months after seeing Danny I went to see another ENT who told me I had chronic tonsillitis and issues with interior of nose. Both of these could have been pick up by Danny
I have been seeing Danny Chan for 21 years now and I have never had a problem. The new Indian lady at reception is by far the rudest person I have come across working there over the past few years. Doesn't want to answer the phone or anything and when she does she is extremely rude. This is why I have Danny Chan's mobile number for emergencies, to avoid that lady. Betty, however, is a really lovely lady who has been there a lot longer than the other lady, today I needed to make an emergency appointment and within a 22 minute radius i called precisely 22 times and there was no answer. Aside from this I have never had an issue.
You'd think a specialist from a private hospital would be good. Nope. waste of time and money. Was with him all of 60 seconds. Prescribed an off the shelf medication that I had already been using. Worst is when you try to pay the bill. $250 and rung probably 30 times since my appointment months ago and cant get through, been receiving "final notice" warnings. But cant even pay the bill. Stay away.
We have been seeing Danny Chan for my boys hearing issues for the last 5 years. Mr Chan is great, always friendly and reassuring about my boys issues, and patient with us when we asked a lot of silly questions in the beginning. My son has had grommets put in on 6 occasions now, no issues at all. I highly recommend him. 5 stars The appointments and billing system and the receptionist you have to call to make an appointment, who seems annoyed that you have called however is awful! 0 stars!!!
Less than 5 mins consultation with Danny Chan and this week got a bill for $263.10 - you are not told consultation charges and any extras which will be added to your bill. This is outrageous!!! PLEASE dont waste your money - this is a genuine plea - there are better ENT specialists - Danny Chan didnt even talk other than tell me he cant see anything wrong but wanted me to come back in a week to see him - WHY??? so he could take more money from me - deceit and corrupt. I wish the medical Ombudsman will look into these reviews. I wish I had read all the reviews before going to see him. Very bad - dont do this to people in your care instead care for people - this is absolutely day light robbery of the professional kind. Positive is that I didnt have to pay parking fee as my consultation was so quick. It took me longer to locate the consulting suite. If I could give a big fat 0, I would.
my son was suffering for tonsillitis but we didn't know about his nostrils. this doctor removed his tonsils but didn't bother to check my son nose . my child after surgery breathes even worse plus sore throat. I hate knox hospital the way how to treat people and i hate this doctor never talk properly with patients and doesn't check everything. he is in hurry to gain money.
I consulted with this ENT back in 2014 for ear cleaning but was still having some difficulties hearing. I can't remember if we did a swab test but will find out by calling them. The thing that disappointing me the most was that all we really did was to do a CT and MRI scan, which came back negative but just recently, I consulted an ENT in Singapore, whom informed me that I have Staphylococcus aureus infection in both ears and nose. I was also told that the CT and MRI scan will not detect this infection and only a swab test will. I wish that I could give this ENT a 0 star....
This guy is attrocious. I can't speak about his surgical ability, as i certianly will not be getting surgery from him, however, he gives you the impression that you ar ejust another body walking through the door, rather than a patient that needs care. He answered a call in the middle of my consultation, and had a generally flippant attitude to my circumstances. I will be seeing Mr Matthew Campbell from the Austin instead, and so far, from my initial experience, seems to be a wise choice.
One of the worst. A 10 min consultation, didn't even look at me and prescribed the most commune solution of the internet. When i asked about alternatives said there are none even though there are plenty those days. He is obviously out of touch with the late innovations, only knows what he learn in school 40 years ago. Also never sent a bill, didn't call and months later i get a call from a collection firm about the bill. Just lame!
Mr Danny Chan is an extremely professional specialist and skilled surgeon. I had a Tonsillectomy last month with no issues and was given very informative information regarding recovery. I would highly recommend Danny Chan.
