Great spot for a mulled wine $9 in June and a dessert, chocolate bread and butter pudding $18. The table was a little sticky so they should look after that.Food: 4/5
Marketed as an upper-end cocktail bar, but you can receive better service and drinks in several other venues in Katoomba. Wouldn't return. Bartenders are abrupt, and have little idea what they're doing for how much they're charging a drink. Had to be asked 3 times what the 3 cocktails we were ordering were and after the 10+mins it took to make, one was still wrong. No apology for the mistake, but saving grace was the correct drink was immediately made. Bartender with the chin bum fluff needs an attitude adjustment for someone that can't remember a 3 drink order and has to read off a manual when there's only 16 cocktails on the list.
Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms are exquisite. Served with sweet potato fries and steamed asparagus. Stuffed with spinach, basil, cheese pumpkin cubes.
The menu is pretty limited, but the food is nice, it’s fancier then expected. You need to know where you are sitting before you order food at the bar. The dining room is closed during the day which is weird so you have to eat your fancy food sitting on couches.
Delightful cocktails and mocktails and beautiful old fashioned bar and atmosphere. We got the cheese platter and the cheese selection was exceptional. Bar staff were excellent. If you're in Katoomba, spend a little time in here!
There are old world bars, and then this amazing experience at the Carrington hotel Katoomba. It's like going back in time, with the glass dome ceiling something you have to see for yourself. Such rich history, and as you enjoy your drinks served by the helpful staff, you can also enjoy the lovely old pictures hung up around the bar. A must visit if in Katoomba.
Great ambience and the cocktails were just beautiful!
Very nice ambience, great food, and it's reasonably priced!
