Nina is the penultimate host. Her home is lovely. Open, airy and inviting. Rooms are large, breakfast is delicious and Nina is full of great suggestions. A definite keeper.

This hotel is a masterpiece! Such a wonderful place made with love and attention. Breakfast is amazing, the hotel host is very welcoming. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed.

We had a lovely long weekend at Chalet Eiger for our first trip to the Taupō region. Our host Nina created a wonderful experience for us - from recommendations on great activities and meals, to a cosy environment and accommodation, to delicious and hearty breakfasts, we had everything we needed and more. Special shout out to the doggo ambassadors Bella and Rufus and Floyd the cat for keeping us company in front of the fireplace!

Wonderful and secluded spot with amazing views from your room. It's was such a pleasure staying here from the complimentary wine and nibbles on arrival, all the comforts needed for your stay and a lovely breakfast which if it's a gorgeous day- request to have it on the balcony to soak those views in!. The hosts Nina and Pete were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend staying!

Wonderful stay here. Well equipped bedrooms and lovely hosts.nBest breakfast we had during our trip, will definitely come back again for those waffles!
