Been my clinic for 50 years. Older staff have retired and newer staff have come in but the clinic has stayed excellent. Most of my interaction has been with Dr Monkus and Dr Faigen, both of who have always been thorough and professional. They always take the time needed to sort out any issues, the negative side of which is that appointments can run late, especially at the end of the day. I'd much rather have these thorough doctors than a clinic that kicks you out the moment your time is up.
I can only review based on my experience with my mum. The GP was always late, regardless if first appointment in morning, first appointment after lunch or otherwise. Not impressed by ongoing management and care, compared to previous GPs. Also unable to get a simple health summary. Clinic refused to provide without providing documentation and paying for my entire medical file. I would recommend going elsewhere. UPDATE My mum had some pathology tests done through a specialist clinic. Unfortunately they hadn't updated her details with her new GP. I made 6 calls between this clinic and her new GP. They told me to fill in a transfer of care form already done previously, and to advise the other clinic to call them. The other clinic called them. Apparently they can't transfer the results. So I spoke to the practice manager. I outlined my frustrations with the situation with ongoing care, considering my mum's previous GP doesn't do nursing home visits. She told me to fill an official complaint if I felt so frustrated. Glad to see that instead of recognising a financial wall to patients ongoing care when they can't provide ongoing care, they just tell us to file complaints.
Don't come to this clinic unless you want to deal with rude staff, outrageous wait times averaging above 40 mins, and consistent administrative errors. You will likely end up chasing staff repeatedly for incorrect referrals and missing prescriptions. If you complain, they will not acknowledge their errors or apologise.
I have been taking my son to this clinic for awhile now and so disappointed at the way I was treated by Angela the receptionist. I rang the clinic a week ago to ask about a Medicare care plan for my sons ankle injury as he needed to see a physiotherapist. As this was my first time requesting for one I rang the clinic to ask what the process is and she was so rude to me right from the beginning saying how I needed to have applied way before to be able to get it at the time I needed it. How confusing is this? how on earth do we know there’s going to be an injury? She brushed me off saying I’m not the only one who had request for it there’s m ah more people and I have to wait. While I understand there’s a process to these things she definitely was very unpleasant and kept sighing as if she was fed up of her position. After requesting a call back from the doctor which I never got, I rang again to be greeted by the same angry woman. She kept commenting on how my sons name was different from mine. I also needed some information about updating my sons vaccination record as we moved here from another country and she would just not let me speak to the nurse. She kept rattling off the vaccinations she thought my son had to have. Is this a joke? I have spent so much money before becoming a resident of this country on healthcare and are these the kind of individuals who are the forefront of giving people care? An entire weekend after I rang the clinic for the fifth time and had to give all the details again. And again I was put onto this horrible person who continued to raise her voice at me and speak over me. She never let me explain or even ask what I wanted to she kept cutting me off and said I had to book an appointment even if I wanted to ask a simple question. This will be escalated as I have been unable to get the medical details that i need off of them and it has been the most unpleasant experience ever.
I have been visiting the Chadstone Road Clinic for over 10 years and in my time have seen 2 Dr's, Dr Tenni now retired & Dr Le Kim. I originally lived close by however now live 20 minutes drive away one way and still visit due to the quality of care and support I am provided. Both Dr Tenni & Dr Le Kim go out of their way to ensure I am always okay, they spend the time with me that is required even if it means they run behind schedule - something I truly appreciate and never complain about if I need to wait, because I know they are taking the necessary time with their patients. Often they have called me days and weeks after my initial visit to check on my well-being, it's service like this which keeps me coming back. I truly can't recommend the clinic more. Everyone is kind, helpful and friendly beyond my expectations every single time.
Pathologist was great but the locked door procedures to have to wait in your car with no idea of pathology queue size for covid are over the top and ridiculous. Not in line with relaxed covid rules in May 2022. Silly and off putting. Will not go back.
We have tried many doctors around Melbourne and found that Dr Gerald Segal is the best doctor by far. He is very warm, funny and friendly to us and our children and always go beyond his duty to help us. He has been our family doctor for the last 10 years and we have always been happy with his diagnoses and approach. Even though we are no longer in Chadstone area, we are willing to travel to see Dr Segal. At times the waiting period can be long but then this is still common practice for any doctor in Melbourne. During Covid, this is not an issue though as the doctor will video call us at home for consultation instead no waiting. Thank you Dr Segal, you are the best!!!
This has been my go to place for 12 years now and I couldn’t be happier. Reception staff are great and Dr Faigen is without a doubt the best Doctor I have ever seen. Highly recommended
Every time I've been the wait is at least half an hour. This morning there were close to 20 people in the waiting room at 8.45am. Not sure how they can be so far behind this early. The doctors also insist you come back every time for results rather than speaking over the phone so they can keep charging you and making you wait. If you like sitting in waiting rooms with sick people for hours, this is the place for you. If not, stay away.
Usually I am extremely satisfied with the service I receive here; however, on Saturday I had to see Dr. Faigen, not my typical Doctor, who was very reluctant to come near me as I had flu-like symptoms. After having my consult with him, having told him I was experiencing a really sore throat, I went home and rested only to get much worse over the weekend. Monday's return saw Dr. Faigen reluctantly treat me again, and after crying with desperation that I must have more than the flu, he finally inspected my throat, again reluctantly, and discovered that not only did I have the flu but tonsillitis as well. Had a penicillin shot and recovering well now, however, I was made to pay for two consultations even though the second consultation was a result of a lack of a thorough inspection on the first. I never leave reviews but I strongly recommend that if you want a thorough check-over and peace of mind, do not see Dr. Faigen. Totally understandable that it would be rare to diagnose someone with the flu and tonsillitis at the same time, but at least be thorough, and if the patient is returning for the same issue due to a problem being overlooked, don't make them pay again.
