I called up the telephone line to ask if they do any vegan/vegetarian lunches at weekends so I can both visit and support the temple. The guy that picked up the phone didn't even listen to me. He asked me if I was sick and wanted to be treated. He didn't listen at all. He hung up on me without giving me a chance to ask questions. Isn't Buddhism all about having a calm, quiet mind, living in the moment = actually listening to the person on the phone...He didn't hear me at all because all he heard is his own voice in his head. I don't know how me asking about vegetarian meals turning into being sick and needs to be treated. One thing for sure this guy was not welcoming and not a true Buddhist. He gave bad first impressions for the temple.
