New Year’s Day, a time where people of spiritual faith come to give thanks and pray for the year ahead. My Thai partner had purchased donations to offer to the monks as part of this ritual, sadly on this occasion we’d arrived too late.nnThe congregation and monks had begun their eating window for the day and everyone was joining the celebration.nnIf you’re intending to donate, may be best to phone ahead or come early to seek prayers with the monks.
A wide variety of flowers and plants in charming pots decorate several corners of the temple. The colors of the greenery are soothing to the eyes, relaxing, and help create a sense of peace.
A beautiful place to be. Looking in from Elgar Road, it appears small but once inside, you'll be amazed with the size of the compound. Well kept with numerous carpark.nThe Prayer Hall is magnificently done. Was there to request Prayer chanting for a recently departed younger brother.nFriendly and approachable Monks, always there to helpnNo photos were taken as a mark of respect to the purpose of visit.........nNamo Ami Deva Hrih nNamo Ami Deva Hrih nNamo Ami Deva Hrih nNamo Ami Deva Hrih nNamo Ami Deva Hrih nNamo Ami Deva Hrih nNamo Ami Deva Hrih
Great thai temple that are very authentic and calming. The tree and decor are beautiful. It is really feel like a hidden temple for you to explore. There are also thai monk there if you ever in need of help for rituals.
Highly recommend visiting Wat Thai Box Hill. We’ve been there three times, and every visit has been peaceful and uplifting. The monks were very welcoming and kindly offered guidance, even with simple explanations. Their warm attitude made us feel comfortable and respected. It’s a lovely place to make offerings, reflect, and experience Thai Buddhist culture in a calm and respectful environment
