NICOLA CERRONE
DIRECTOR

Nicola Cerrone is the Director and creativity behind Cerrone. He is a purveyor of beauty and style, an artist of diamond design excellence.

Nicola is an awarded luxury jeweller. He has won worldwide attention and acclaim including the most prestigious award, the De Beers International Diamond Award in Paris. Nicola’s strong design aesthetic and incredible attention to detail has helped clients create countless memorable moments.

Growing up in a small village, on the East Coast of Italy, Nicola draws on his childhood experiences to infuse imagination and originality into each and every piece of jewellery and diamond.

He completed his secondary education in Sydney and then became an apprentice to a master Sydney jeweller in Sydney’s Central Business District. Nicola’s ability to craft with his hands and his desire to succeed in life propelled him to become one of Australia’s finest jewellers.

Nicola’s philosophy of design and quality are simple, “When I create a piece of jewellery, I think of originality, beauty and quality – not about what it will be worth.”

“For me the challenge is to make the piece well, to give my clients the very best quality and value in stones and setting, to maintain our high standards of craftsmanship, as well as our reputation for design excellence”.

Carmela Cerrone

Carmela Cerrone is the Director and co-founder of Cerrone alongside her husband Nicola. Together they are a tour de force, creating some of the most exquisite and admired diamond and fine jewellery pieces.

Carmela, has grown with the business from starting her career as a Cerrone Retail Manager, to now, designing her own bespoke diamond and pearl collection, the Carmela Cerrone Collection.

Like Nicola, she is also from a large Italian family. She is second generation, and has lived a life steeped in Italian culture, from the arts to food and education.

Her greatest achievement is her family. She is very proud of her two daughters, who are both involved in the business, and receives much joy from her two gorgeous grandchildren.

Carmela’s favourite piece of Cerrone jewellery is the international award winning collar, “The Elizabethan Diamond Ruff”. When she first saw it being worn, it brought her to tears.
