All I wanna do is speak to a human and the families line doesn't even answer it just has voicemail that tells you no one is going to answer and have a good day... How about when Centrelink make a mistake they make sure the customer isn't penalised over something that isn't their fault and they can't fix because NONE of the services are working and NONE of the phones are being answered. The robots they have doing jobs that humans should be doing are infuriating and they wonder why people are so angry and mean when they finally get to speak to a human after hours days or sometimes WEEKS of trying to contact someone for HELP that can't be obtained via self service.
Had to attend the Ballarat office today to obtain clarification on an issue. Brendan was a true champion, assisting in a most caring, patient and compassionate manner. Thank you, Brendan. Sincerely.
Avoid being served by Jo-Anne, especially if you’re a person with a disability. The attitude she expressed while “attending” to my enquiry was downright apathetic, disrespectful, and ableist. And when I questioned her about her attitude, she immediately became immature and hostile. How someone so rude and prejudiced can be allowed to work in a customer facing role in 2022 is beyond me.
Fiona was very helpful and efficient accepting documents. Don't know why Centrelink has 1 staff member solely asking people if they have COVID still in October 2022..why? And why waste a FTE resource and taxpayers money on such an exercise....
As a disability support worker who often needs to contact Centelink on behalf of clients, the near total inability to actually speak with someone over the phone is disgraceful and infuriating. Fix this Albo. It's time Mr Harvey and his mates contributed their fair share!
If you have a choice, don't physically go in there. Both the security guards overstepped their mark today. If you don't look them in the eye as you are talking to them they won't let you even ask reception to see if you are in the right place. The signs out the front are virtually nonexistent. If you are vulnerable and looking for support this is not the place to be.
Spent 52 minutes waiting on hold to speak to someone. Then when I finally get through the person has no idea how to help me with what was a pretty simple enquiry. Any other business that was run with the level of ineptitude that Centrelink is run with would be out of business. And they don’t care, as they have nothing to loose. They don’t need customers and it shows on every level they operate.
Move to wendouree, which means, i have to catch 2 bloody bus, what a joke. Not only that, the government spent all that money built new centrelink in wendouree and there nothing wrong with old one, in ballarat.
Awful service and incredibly unhelpful. The Services website states that you are able to visit this office for assistance; however, they are either not trained to help or are unwilling.
Brendan was very good with all the Paperwork I did bring, Very Professional! Thank you for making it Easy. Please let People know the Ballarat CBD Office is Closed! Will save Precious Time.
