We booked a Double room and found it very adequate clean and tidy. It was a hot 42 deg day and the room was great with air con and wall fan keeping it easily at 24 deg. The room has a small kitchenette which is great to bring ingredients back to put together a meal or snack. It is just a short walk the Coles and Kmarts hopping mall where the prices are very reasonable. Staff were very busy but looked after us despite all that was going on. Good place to stay for your visit to Mt Isa.

If you stay at this motel you'll sponsoring the corrupt ways of the individuals (a redneck couple from Cairns) leasing this property. We used to work for these disgraceful people and ended up not being paid for entitlements. John, one of the lessees, bad mouths the Indian owner of this property at every chance he has. In fact, he even tries, with not much success, to imitate the property owner's Indian accent and claims that other people have the same problem with the Indian community in Australia. He also claims that previous staff members stole money from him however he is the one that fails to pay his staff members. He contracts full-time employees as independent contractors in order to both scam them and the ATO or uses middle-men to hire them for 3 months or so.

Short overnight stop. Simply but good breakfast. Had a good nights sleep.

The room is clean and has all the basics. They cater for the working crowd really well with microwave meals at reception and preorder continental brekky. Air con is noisy and room smells a bit. Not great but functional. Shower was mouldy with a super crappy shower head.

For the price this motel is great value. Excellent clean and well presented room. Gina is very helpfull. Secure motorbike parking. Highly recommend
