Always on the lookout for dog friendly activities. I discovered this recommendation from a list of dog friendly walks by the water. Unfortunately, it was raining on the day we visited and there were no other dogs in there at the time. My dog still enjoyed having a good sniff around. It's mostly grass but there's a concrete path that goes through the middle and a table with a shelter over it. It also has an agility course which looked like it suited to small/ medium dogs. My dog attempted some of the obstacle course but it was quite wet. I noticed there were 2 entry/ exit points. It's essentially 2 dog parks in one and they are side by side but separate. Normally, this allows the separation of big and small dogs. I assume smaller dogs would be in the smaller gated area of the two. The park was clean except for an empty pack of cigarettes on the ground. Who litters in a dog park seriously - especially when there were bins available?! I don't agree with smoking in dog parks in general. I noticed a single toilet block across the road.

The dog park itself is good. The maintenance staff are on their game so a big hand to the team keeping things in good order. Those that aren't on their game are the dog owners using the park and not picking up their dogs waste. For goodness sake the council even supply the bags to pick it up. Lift your game people, I can only assume laziness is the reason. If it was only every now and then I could understand it but it's almost every time I find waste there. I do a quick check to see if my pooch is going to be running through stuff. To the other dog owners who are picking up their dogs waste, good on you you're clearly fantastic dog owners!
Excellent dog area large so the dogs can have a good run. This park has a small obstacle course for the dogs .... seating spread around one area has sheltered seating .. so grab the leash and don't forget the dog not saying I have ....
Had a great time with mywife and grandson here.
