I have in the past, enjoyed my eating experience at the Caves but today was sorely disappointed. I ordered mince on toast with an egg. When the plate was delivered to me it as totally covered in tasteless sloppy mince. Somewhere underneath all that mince was toast. The mince itself was very dark, sloppy and tasteless. There was nothing but meat and in an awful tasteless gravy. I had a little of the mince but did attempt the toast because by the time I got the dish the toast had soaked up the wet concoction and was the consistency of a very damp sponge. All I can suggest is don't do mince.

Great staff, super friendly and helpful. The food was good, and the house made FUDGE! geez couldn't get enough of it

Love this place. Had the most beautiful fish would love to get their batter recipe. Service pretty good altho no loo paper in toilets was not so good. Something to be aware of in busy times.

We paid around $17 per burger and Purchased the beef, chicken and fish burger. I feel the price tag definitely suggested something a little more special, perhaps with more gourmet ingredients than what was delivered. Staff were friendly and helpful and the new renovated premises is nice, however I feel the food needs the same overhall to bring it in line with the prices that are being asked.
