Caulfield library at - Corner Glen Eira and Hawthorn Roads, Caulfield set back a few meters down Hawthorn Rd is quiet, friendly and a great place to sit back and read, or get some work done on your laptop. Complete failure by the local city council. This is a shoebox. Limited books, limited space. I doubt the local council could have spend less money on this space. The original library and recreation centre in maple street was beautiful and purpose built. We have gone backwards!! Don't ask me why the rec centre is now a gym? Government's role is to provide services the free market cannot be bothered to provide, so really not sure why we have yet another gym. Even more confusing why we ripped down existing buildings on Maple street. Councillors and public servants involved in this decision should be ashamed of themselves.
Have only been member of Caulfield Library for two years .But just love visiting there .Can use computers etc .But I really love borrowing Books from there. ALL The staff there are very friendly and most helpful Also they have terrific activities on school holidays and weekends. A really nice place to spend time .Especially when take children .
This is quite a nice library, it's very open planned and you are able to scan your items out with no hassle or help needed of you choose.nThere is also disabled car parks and access through the left side via car park door.
I have been to Caulfield with my kinder classrooms and the service is amazing. We have been lucky to meet Jenny who is very helpful. She helps us find resources we need for our classroom. Read selected stories to the children and communicates about her work with them.nWhat a wonderful place!
