I was in the class of 2024 and graduated this year. Even though this year was horrid for us as the space was limited and we could probably never experience the new builds. Teachers such as Mrs Jones, Mrs Bradley, and Mrs Darshana were very kind and supportive. From 2022-24, I made a lot of friends and memories at this place. Facilities at my time were a 3 compared to other schools, I don't blame the school for building a better environment, but couldn't kick a tennis ball because it will go over a like 4m fence? Overall, it is the best and most unforgettable memories here. Shoutout to Mr Oliver for being chill.
The school principal, Deputy principal need to be replaced. This school needs a who genuinely care about children’s mental well-being and education.nnIf you ask to speak with the principal or deputy principal, you are told they are too busy, and you can’t even get an appointment—as if they are running a massive corporation. When you finally get to speak with Deputy Principal Kohary, you realize she is completely incompetent, lacking understanding and empathy. They have caused my child a trauma that will never be forgotten.nnPeople who are indifferent and unsupportive toward children should not be in this profession. On top of that, she acts as if she is also a psychologist, assuming she can do what actual professionals couldn’t achieve in years. Instead of helping, they come up with ridiculous ideas that only make things worse.
I went to this school a few years ago, and I sent my sibling here. I see the recent review have been the same as mine. I've seen the new principal replaced original staff with centuries of experience with much younger teachers within a year. I believe this was around 2016. I see all the recent reviews are the same as mine. Currently, I have felt the school is built upon a culture of definite power balance, corporal politics, and abuse of that power.nnEthical competencynWhen ethical issues are raised, the 'blame game' is played and the first priority is resolving the issue to the likes of the senior staff. This is reflected by the principal who lack fairness and only listen to biased teachers who are just as same, manipulating and gaslight students into faulting themselves. They listen to students who are unfavoured to them for appearances.nI have heard from secondary educational staff that they've had never seen a bullying matter resolved so quickly.nnEducationnUnlike my time there, there are no passionate teachers who initiate creative and academic events and classes, and a severe lack of eduational competency in the curriculum. Teachers lack basics and seem confused by what they teach, and downplay any other interpretations made by students.nAll the current programs running were already set up by previous staff.nnI don't understand the purpose of the staff as they sole responsibility seems to lie in satisfying their senior staff. I used to love the school, so I'm not sure why it turned out like this.
I started in this school, of year 2 term 2 2017. I'm now in high school in year 9. I think about all the memories I had in this school. Not all of them were great, but most of them were enjoyable. I'm still in touch with quite a few of my friends from CHPS. 80% of the time I tried to follow the rules, and the other 20% I spent in detention.
