Honesty the best care I've received in Australia. Clayton hospital was a nightmare!! I highly recommend going to this hospital first as you will get fantastic care from nurses, doctors and all of the specialists! The food wasn't bad but wasn't the most flavourful. Thank you to all the staff in tower 4! Hopefully I won't be back anytime soon haha
Has to be one of the worst hospital in Victoria. Bring a 1 year old to get checked over after a fall at daycare with swelling and bruising on his head. 7 hour wait to be told that the 4 hour concussion window is over and to go home.nnIf you’re looking for treatment. It would be recommended that you have a child. Have them grow up to be 18 years+. Get their doctorate degree and have a good 10 years experience and you’ll be able to be treated before your even checked for vitals at this hospital.nnStaff need to learn to tell people who attend for non emergencies to go away.nA certain demographic of people who attend should have a translator provided to tell them to leave and go to their local GP.nnThe health systems under the pump but to have wait times with babies in pain and screaming for that long is ridiculous.nPlace needs to be demolished.
The emergency department was trying, but that's the chaotic nature of the beast. Moving into a ward was an incredible experience where all nurses, doctors and support staff, were incredibly professional, caring and comforting. A huge thank younto all that helped me in my time of need. Meals were varied, delicious and hot too!
I was in Casey hospital ED for 11 hours yesterday. Yes that seems like a long time, but at least 50 other patients were being triaged during this time. Staff were amazing trying to cope with the amount of patients. Sure some were not happy with wait time, but staff did there best to assess and attend to those that needed help. In my opinion my 11 hours was ok, based on seriousness of case.
Waited 10 Hours in the ED and still wasn’t attended to tho the waiting time in the screen says 9 Hours. The night staff was unbelievably rude! No empathy, no care whatsoever for patients clearly in discomfort. One staff member in particular stood out Night shift, curly short black hair, wearing glasses for all the wrong reasons. I asked politely about the status of our wait, and her response? She snapped at me to “just look at the screen it says 9 hours” which, by the way, SHOWED a 9-HOUR wait time I had already EXCEEDED. When I pressed further, she dismissively said they didn’t know how much longer it would take.nnI wasn’t the only one—other patients tried speaking to her respectfully and walked away visibly upset because of her TERRIBLE attitude and loud voice! Is it so hard to show a little compassion to people who are in pain, nausea, and sick?nnThe staff in this ED needs a serious lesson in empathy and professionalism. I’ve never been treated this poorly in my life—like GARBAGE—while sitting for hours, suffering, in a waiting area.nnAbsolutely NOT recommended. Avoid this place if you can.
