Ideally located , Carosello is the most popular Italian restaurant in Moonee Ponds. Offering deliciously prepared wood-fired pizza's and traditional pastas. The menu has a variety of Starters, Grilled meats, Pastas, Mains, Sides, kids meals and a variety of drinks. The setting is welcoming and nicely decorated, with indoor and outdoors eating area. The service provided by staff is beyond excellent and food is not just served in a reasonable time, but it is also very well presented. Carosello is definitely the go to place in Moonee Ponds when it comes to delicious Italian food, great service and fantastic ambience..
Deliciously satisfying. Ordered the gnocchi and just when I thought there weren't enough gnocchi, there was more hidden on the plate. Staff were friendly and punctual, which adds to all the positive reviewsFood: 5/5
Came with the intention of getting pizza, but prices were like those you find at the Crown casino, so went with the parmigiana instead. Instead of having the side of cos lettuce, I was able to replace it with vegetables. These were seasoned well, but the eggplant pieces were tough, so couldn’t eat those. It was very filling. They were extremely busy around 6pm on a Sunday. We waited almost 15min before being served, but the food then did not take too long to come out. The young waitress was very friendly & her younger brother, also a waiter, adorable. There are toilets located upstairs. U sure if also ground floor for those who can’t climb stairs?!
After arriving for an 8pm reservation, it took 15 mins to be seated. On top of this, we waited another 45 mins for any food to come out after ordering. When that food finally came, it was all at once. The dishes were decent, but certainly not worth the price and wait time. The pasta was a little too salty and the pizzas had uneven dough - thick, dense crust and thin, soggy base. We won't be coming back in a hurry unfortunately.
They definitely got a great chef, the food tastes amazing. And the staff are well trained. Definitely come back soon.Food: 5/5
Busy, bustling, vibrant and noisy place. Despite that, received good and pleasant service and meals timely served. Ordered Miss Piggy and Frutti di Mare. Miss Piggy was definitely “piggy”. The porchetta and the crema di tartufo notes were definitively coming through. My company definitely enjoyed it with great dollops of their chilli in oil. The Frutti di Mare was very good. The seafood particularly the calamari was perfectly just done. None of the seafood was overdone. The seafood topping was a little too salty though. The pizza dough was a little soggy at the bottom but if you like well puffed, chewy pizza crust with a touch of sweet and char notes, this is for you.
Walked into a bustling busy restaurant which had good vibes but left disappointed and won't be coming back. The arancini were terrible. Dry and lacking any flavour and seemed to be microwaved because they certainly weren't hot & crispy. Bruschetta was served on cold not toasted bread. Was just ok. Calamari was nice. Our waiter decided to try and clear our entrees as we were still eating them . Even after telling him to leave then he tried to take them. Absolutely ridiculous. I understand you want to turn tables over but don't be so stupid about it. My Veal Cotoletta really lacked any flavour. It was crumbed and fried.... The potatoes and salami had more taste. pretty disappointed for $36. Overall a not so good experience when spending good money for below average food and rude service.
Amazing food!!! Best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been too Service is next level, staff very welcoming, helpful and friendly. I Highly recommended the Papardelle Ragu!!
