Long Story short. After enduring a stressful week, i was told i will get my test results today Monday 01/06/20 I called multiple times today to follow up my test results 9.17AM, 12.31PM, 3.35PM My last call at 3.35PM, the nursewhich i will not name clearly "advised" my results are in and ask what time i could have a chat with the doctor about my results. She booked me in for 6.20PM. It was the longest ~2.5 hours as i am waiting to find out if i have signs of bowel cancer or not. Unfortunately, the call i got at 6.20PM was not what i expected. I was told by the doctor that there was issues with my samplesMelb Pathology has lost 2/3 test samples and i need to re-do them again. My question is to the nurse - why didn't you just tell me at 3.35PM when i called? Is there a different screen you see to the GP? I can only imagine the answer would be "Yes or No your results are in." I have been stressing and anxiously waiting and then to be told i have to go through it again? The level of service to me is unacceptable and this cannot be OK! I have heard and read reviews of these franchised clinics that it's a no go zone. But i am a person to give the benefit of the doubt. After this experience, I will only go here for minor visitscold n flu but for anything more serious, I'll be looking elsewhere. Cause that's what this place is capable of.
Leaving this clinic is absolutely the best decision our family had made. Long wait even with appointments and very uninterested doctors. Recently found out that they didn’t even have records of my recent scan results on file.... even though their GP referred me for the scans and read out the results. When speaking to the practice manager, was simply told “we don’t have it on file. Don’t know why. Give the place you had your scan done a call, they should have what you’re after as we don’t have anything on our system”. Avoid at all costs and visit Active Medical few doors down, they are so much better!!
Nurses are not professional, front desk are not helpfull at all, if you want to see your GP you need to call at least 3-4 days. Even when you make an appointment they reschedule at least twice and in the end your doctor is not available offering another doctor. When you ask for another appointment with you GP same happens you have to wait for couple of days. With my not so well health condition I need regular check ups, which I am not gett them from my GO because every time when I call they say FOOLY BOOKED, FULLY BOOKED, suggesting to see another doctor. Although I’m with them for many years and my health is deteriorating I don’t have time to wait another 3 months for appointment, which you are not going to get, I’ve decided to leave.
I recently had some tests done and had seen Dr Yasab Alemayehu. I would say he has great duty of care for his patients. He followed up with all tests and made sure everything was sorting. I wanted to say thank you for his duty of care he has shown towards him. I had just moved to a new suburb far from this suburb and therefore couldn’t see him again purely out of my convenience and ease to see doctor closer to where I now live. I just wanted to thank you Dr Alemayehu for your care.
Had some good and some bad experiences here. Agree with others who state that some doctors don't seem to be even listening to you. Others are wonderful and caring and have clear and current medical knowledge. Yes there are many foreign trained doctors but this area is very multicultural and the extra languages other than English must be a godsend for those who don't speak English well.
I would give a ZERO or MINUS star if there was an option. Only good enough if you are looking for a medical certificate for sick leave or if you have got a diagnosis yourself. I have been seeing doctors in this clinic since June with complaints for flu like symptoms, breathing problems - couldn't breathe through nose I have sinusitis and nasal polyps, abdominal issues such as bloating, constipation, nausea, weight gain, ballooned tummy etc - first saw Dr Rod Stobart and then Dr Sayeda. All doctors are always rushed. I would like to specially write about Dr SAYEDA - Never see her!!! She was rude, ignorant and very rushed!!! Here is the story: In my very first appointment with her, I was telling her what was going on - I was distressed. I didn't feel like she was listening properly. She was very hasty to write the prescription for my sinus issues and shove me out the door with antibiotics and pseudonefrine. When I said 'I'm not finished. Can I please finish?' and then I could see in her face that she got upset. Allowed me to tell her about my abdo issues but then she added in the end 'We don't treat all the symptoms at the same time. Your primary complaint is sinusitis. I will treat this first.' Wrote me prescription and off I go. Saw her again 4 days time with no resolution of the symptoms. Gave me more meds and sent me off for a month with new list of meds. I took meds as suggested for 2 weeks but since the symptoms got only worse, I saw her again in 14 days and oh my goodness I am glad I didn't wait for a month to finish. In this visit, I refused to take any more meds without proper diagnosis. She then ordered full blood test, US for abdo and CT scan of head. I gave blood the same day and had my US for abdo couple of days after - when I found out that I was actually PREGNANT!!! The doctor who did the US said I could be pregnant anywhere between 12 to 18 weeks!! I had been seeing the docs at CS for months with abdo issues and they never tested me for pregnancy. I work in a hospital - not clinical but in admin/management role. All my clinical colleagues were astonished that a doctor wouldn't order a pregnancy test when a lady comes in with abdo issues!! I had sort of menstrual cycle but very unusual one - I had told the doctors about this too. I was thinking it might be due to my getting close to menopausal years and the doctor 'assumed' the same perhaps. I am 38 years old. The last time I saw Sayeda, she was very apologetic that she didn't do the pregnancy test earlier and said sorry and we parted in good terms. Later when I was enquiring to get the US done, I found out that I had to pay for the dating ultrasound only because I found out about my pregnancy quite late. I then spoke to the manager of the clinic Tanya re this - she was quite rude towards me and was very defensive. She was stuck with anomalies in dates I said I saw doctors there and dates on their system. I was there only to ask for referral to a bulk billing ultrasound places - which we later found was none for pregnancy that far. Every time I go there with appointment, I at least wait 30 minutes. Even if you ask them before appointment whether there is a wait involved, they can't tell you. So, in the end you end up waiting anyway. So go there with your electronic gadgets with you or you will be angry by the time you get to see them only to be shoved out in a rushed manner. I am never going back there again. I will never recommend anyone to go there. Not patient centered but money centered 'clinic.' To the ones saying it's a great clinic - can you please let us know which doctor you saw there if you don't mind please? For those giving five stars and writing great reviews for Sayeda - I wonder if you are family or friends of her. With my experience, she was totally a shame in the name of the doctor!
I have just gotten home from this clinic, I am suffering from hot and cold sweats, dizzy spells and the doctor checked my blood pressure and gave me a certificate. I asked him if he can asses me further, his response was what do you want me to check. Now i have another appointment somewhere else obviously My dog has better assesments at the vet.
Called and booked for an appointment at 420 but was running 10 minutes late and they were fine with it. Got to the clinic, filled out my medical form as I am a new client and the receptionist didn't put me in the system for me to get visited by the doctor. So I continued waiting for 40 minutes and still not being served. An hour later I was finally put in the system to go see the doctor.
My first time here and it’s not bad. They don’t usually do walk-ins on Sunday but since I was the first one there, the receptionist kindly allowed it. 2 minutes after opening 4 other people walked in and the phone lines were buzzing. The receptionists were already flat out and it hasn’t even been 5 minutes since opening. Even through the morning struggle they still managed to be very polite and hospitable. Dr. Qureshi was very kind and had a true intent in helping me, would recommend The place is nice and clean as well
The lady at the front desk Tanya is lovely - just what you need in a place like that - so happy and polite. It is not just the doctors themselves that have an impact, it's that first point of contact at the front desk. Haven't had any issues with the doctors so feel like this is a great place to see a doctor in Caroline Springs.
