Story

Cargo Bar Pizza Lounge is set in the heart of historic Salamanca Place.

Built from Georgian sandstone in the 1830’s the original site was used to house grain, wool and apples before being exported around the world.

Today this 180 year old building is home to Hobart’s premier woodfired pizza and wine bar which incorporates a style and service to inside and outside licensed areas. There is also a take away area for coffee, delicious pizzas, gourmet salads and homemade gelato. The bar theme is based on an old world European concept incorporating style and elegance within a casual environment.

Worthy pizza. Reasonable price with good bar. Not very busy in Sunday and the pizzas are half price as well! Good place for casual night out!
For a late dinner with the family this was ideal. The toppings were great and the timing was prompt. But, the base seemed too hard and appeared to have a bit too much semolina. However, looking for a late dinner, in need of a refuel, this hit the spot.
Pizza was a bit fatty and not as crispy as I would like it but otherwise it was good. Only other complaint would be the waitress didn't clear the table from the previous people's drinks.
Came here for dinner pretty late as it was super close to our hotel. We had no expectations but everything that was served to the 7 of us was really good. I'm fussy with Pizzas but they did really well. Would go again
Ordered 2 cocktails which took them 25min to make.. Dirty glasses and plates everywhere. Staff walk past not even picking up the dirty dishes when walking from outside seating area to inside. These guys should not be in hospitality that's for sure.

Nice atmosphere! Easy to find a cozy nook tucked away from the main bar. Staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions. Fantastic pizza selections in three reasonably priced categories. Good wine and cocktail choices, cocktails a little pricey.
Unremarkable pizzas, lots of far superior ones other places around Hobart. Good outside seating. Can generally find a table at lunch without a booking.
We had AMAZING gluten free pizzas and a bottle of wine for the Monday night special. They were absolutely delicious!
Fantastic food and surprisingly quiet atmosphere. Not my first visit for good food and definitely won't be the last. I recommend the smoked chicken pizza and wedges.
