Useless secondhand cars brakes down after 2 days of road trips between South Auckland and West Auckland. Returned back to the dealer and they told me they can't fix it and I will need to fix it myself I explained to them that the car was already fault when I bought it but they insisted that I wasn't driving it properly???? HAHA FML how can you say that to me how can you blame for your faulty product. Would not recommend. Please go somewhere else.

Lets hope John that the current issues are resolved very soon!! I will update this thread as this saga unfolds and develops!! We purchased an exceptional quality Mercedes Benz ML63 AMG vehicle which is a top of the line vehicle. We were of course concerned over negative reviews shown. We personally discussed those reviews with them. We are more than happy with the service from John Martin and Jimmy at Car City. Of course we completed our due diligence before purchasing the vehicle and John was more than happy to allow us to obtain a pre purchase inspection through our own Mercedes Dealer in Tauranga. He personally drove the vehicle to Tauranga to the dealers for that inspection. A few issues were required to be addressed, which were consistent with a vehicle of that kilometres , including brakes, thermostat and a Service. These were taken into account for a final purchase price negotiated with John. All we can say to those with the negative reviews is to ensure you do your due diligence when purchasing any vehicle whether from any car dealer or privately. That includes a pre purchase inspection and price comparisons around NZ. After all, it is your own responsibility to do that. Thank you John and Jimmy ...we appreciate your service and we would certainly deal with you again in the future.

Absolutely horrible dealers.Do not trust these guys.The vehicals are all used a lot and expensive will give you a lot of trouble later on.Based on experience not a trust worthy dealer.I was not informed about my cam belt had to be changed..and then after I bought it I asked them why was I not informed about the cam belt replacement they said thats not our concern and if u want it to replace we can do it for another$600 or somthing.CHEATS AND FRAUD DEALERSSSS.oNLY want the money after that they don't care about you.I was also told that if I want to buy the Subaru they would only sell it to me if I trade in my Toyota Corolla if not they will not do the deal plus I was not even given a test drive till I din agree to buy it.Just got all carried away by their big talks and the $20 car wash which made the car look brand new.After buying it I had several problems with the car which forced me to trade in for another car from another dealer and eventually caused me an add on to my loan for no reason.So please BEWARE GUYS.

The person under this review Mamele Sptzenburg has never being a customer of ours I will somehow get it removed . We are second to no one on our customer service . Good luck buying a new car

TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME -TABLES TURNED ON ME WHEN I WENT BACK TO THESE GUYS. I want to help anyone who is looking to buy a car from here PLEASE be aware that these guys only want your money and don't give a FARK about you and what happens after you leave their car yard. I bought a car from here and not even a month and I'm already starting to hear the squealing fan belt noise, so just like any normal person I took it back to the car dealer and guess what they told me... "Its not our problem anymore because we have already sold the car to you and you are liable for any additional cost to the car". I could not believe it, the same nice guy who sold me the car all of a sudden turned into this mean, angry & frustrated person? what happened to the smiles and assurance I received when I first met you and showed me around, you assured me it is a quality car and there is nothing to worry about. I can't believe my hart when it all turned on me , I felt so distraught I couldn't even drive properly. Since then I've fixed the car on my expense additional to the cost to the car but I will not dare to go back to this place. PLEASE BROTHERS AND SISTERS I REALLY WANT YOU TO NOT GO THROUGH WHAT I WENT THROUGH. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND LOOK AT THE REVIEWS FIRST B4 GOING IN. THE SMILES YOU SEE WHEN YOU GET THERE ARE FAKE DON'T BE FOOLED BY IT. DO YOUR RESEARCH AND IF YOU ARE A YOUNG LAD OR YOUNG LADY PLEASE TAKE A PARENT WITH YOU BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T THESE GUYS WILL TAKE YOU ON A LONG RIDE AND RIP YOU OFF UNDER YOUR NOSE WITHOUT YOU KNOWING IT. THESE IS YOUR HARD EARN CASH SO DON'T TRADE IT FOR A PEACE OF SHYT, LOOK AROUND AND ASK FAMILY FOR THEIR ADVICE, TAKE IT FROM ME, ITS HAPPEN TO ME.
