Lovely atmosphere for a family dinner. Exemplary service, quality ingredients for meals and drinks with excellent gluten free choices that didn’t make us feel like a hassle. Our waitress replaced empty water without prompting which was amazing and organised our starters and mains to come out in a staggered, timely manner. Very good understanding and attentiveness of service, you definitely impressed us and we recommend Capital as a must-visit location in Hobart. Dietary restrictions: Very good gluten free options for pasta.
That restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Fancy and stunning decoration. Delicious and traditional Italian food for an affordable price. Friendly staff, highlights to Simon and the two lovely waitresses, who unfortunately I didn’t have opportunity to ask the names. Highly recommended!
Pleasant atmosphere and great service. Staff were very quick and genuine. Food was quite good also, but quite expensive given the portion sizes. Overall recommended for a dinner in Hobart.
Great food, great vibes, great people. initially they were fully booked to a walk-in but the older gentleman told us to hold a moment. We were able to get a table! We ordered multiple cocktails, two appetisers - arancini and some sticks with blue cheese I'm sorry I don't remember the name!!. Gnocchi and pumpkin pizza for the mains. Thanks Capital!
Third time visit and love it!!!!! Services and foods are wonderfully great Ordered Pescatore pizza, two mains and entrees to share. The dessert TIRAMISU is a must!!YUMMM!! Also a great place for drinks and chillHighly recommended
This place got me to enjoy negronis!! Now that’s saying something! We really enjoyed our time at Capital having a great host who had recommendations and wine taste trials for us to choose. The food was filling, as Italian is, but it was the flavours that I personally was impressed by. I enjoyed the lamb! The toffee negroni was an absolute perfect finish to our delicious meal :
Great looking place and very sharp service but the cotoleta bolognese at $37 was more like a pub meal … not subtle at all…the food didn’t quite come up to the menu description and the decor and price… I am told that breakfast and lunch here are very good… pizza and pasta looked good the subtleties of veal were lost
The place has come a long way in the past few months and definitely getting better. Great location; good service and food. The veal has been beautiful my last few visits and I was very happy. I love veal!!! Great work team! Recent changes are working, so keep up the good work.
The service at the restaurant is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before, and what I mean by this is, the waiter cracking jokes, giving recommendations and offering free ice cream to the kids on the table. Generous portions and just amazing food!! Couldn’t recommend this place more, definitely bring some family and friends for a meal!!
We were a group size of 5 who were a walk in and the service was great to find us a table, they were busy. The food was delicious, every one on the table enjoyed their email. The service was excellent. We were sitting upstairs at the back of the restaurant and the restaurant had a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Vegetarian options: One of our vegetarians wanted to customise the standard vege menu option, swapping the combination of the pasta and sauce and the kitchen was happy to do so.
