I know most of the reviews will centred around the dim sum experience here but I’m going to base this review off a wedding dinner that I had here a couple of days ago. The food was unbelievably good, well portioned and tasty. There were very few, if any, dishes that were a miss. The lobster noodle in particular had so much lobster that we almost needed to ask for more noodles which never happens. The seafood was fresh and cooked well, and the cold dishes were very good. The balance of flavours here was great and the food was also delivered promptly. If you’re looking for a venue for an Asian banquet then this has to be on your list. Wish I took more photos but I was too busy eating.
Canton is a family owned and operated Chinese traditional restaurant in Perth. I love the service. They come around to all of the tables with beautifully cooked and presented dishes. Fantastic for family dinners and business meeting chat and eat. When in Perth don't miss out on eating at Canton Bay Northbridge. 5 stars all round. Vegetarian options: Amazing, delicious Kid-friendliness: Many families eating with their children Parking: Great for parking, easy.
This place is amazingly delicious and value for money. As many would have claim short of staff as an excuse for poor service, this place is definitely not. Totally short of staff but our services were met , staff was rushing but not rude. We were well fed, dim sum were freshly steam . Leaving the restaurant happy and satisfied . Will be definitely back again. I reckon it is better to get in line for seatings by the hour as they open at 9am. Been back again on a public holiday and there’s a 10% surcharge for public holidays . Food is still as good.
We sat there and food appeared like magic. Our host kept saying Yes and No to different foods that would land on the table, often in those woven bamboo steamers. We have never had so much fun! Luckily our host knew the various foods or I would have been lost. They let us bring in a bottle of bubbly for lunch we were celebrating 3 birthdays! and the corkage was very reasonable too. And the pastry in the custards tarts was scrumptious. Recommended. We’ll go again soon…
My first time visiting the place. The restaurant was quite spacious, clean and the design was nice. The service were friendly and efficient. From where I sat, I had a pretty good view of the city on a rainy day. The dim sum was excellent. The standard prawn dumpling har gao and pork dumpling siew mai were nice. Chicken feet, beef stomach and pork ribs were braised well. The zha leong you tiao wrapped in fun cheong - fried flour roll wrapped in smooth steamed rice rolls was really good - crispy on the inside and silky smooth on the outside. The char siew sho bbq pork pastry and the liuo sha bao egg yolk custard bun were amazing. Lastly we had the Chinese fried carrot cake with bean sprouts in XO sauce and ending with a nice sweet dessert of Durian mochi. It was a very satisfying meal.
Didn’t expect that Chicken Feet was so delicious. You can feel skin and meat melting in your mouth. Bone is easy to get rid of. But not everything have in menu. Some of them don’t service anymore.Recommended dishesChicken Feet
A wonderfull place for a group to go to, as sharing is the name of the game here. There is a great selection of dishes, some more surprisingly than others, but all are flavoursome and deliciuos. The service is efficient and waiting staff will patiently explain the contents of unfamiliar dishes. If you arrive on the weekend, expect a short or longer wait. You need to claim your number inside and wait in line outside, as is the case in similar establishments. It would be worth it. Vegetarian options: Many dishes seem to contain no animal products. Kid-friendliness: Kids love the atmosphere.
One of my top 3 places for dim sum to eat. I'm obsessed with their beef tendon, egg lava bun and cheung fan. My fave cheung fan dish is to order it with char siu or the Chinese donut one. My partner and I have been going here for years and they've never disappointed with their fast service and high quality food. I love their durian mochi as well!
One of the best yum cha restaurants in Perth. Enjoy all the varieties of dim sum so far.
Very good food. We went there unplanned and found their food of high quality. Especially their soft shell crab, seafood noodles and prawn dumplings.
