Canning Bridge Station

One of the more difficult to navigate train stations in Perth. Canning Highway pre-dates the train line and freeway so the station is small. Advice: There is no pick up/drop off spot for vehicle passengers - use a suburban cul-de-sac east of the river instead. Passengers cross Canning Highway at the traffic lights to move between train directions - walking between the lifts does the same thing. It's a safer option if you've got young kids and a shorter walk.

Use the end of Leonora Street for picking up and dropping off. Otherwise expect a baffling ordeal. It's right on a major intersection of Canning Highway. There's no parking nearby and the pedestrian access is terrible. This station is central but impractical.

Be careful people throw big stones to your car while you driving on canning highway. One kid stand at traffic light and throw the stone

Only station on the south without park and ride car park, yet it's also difficult to drop someone off by car to catch a train or bus. The bus shelter on the southern side faces the sun in the afternoon so serves no purpose at all. The bus service is fairly high frequency though, and 15 minutes for the train isn't too bad either.

Quick entry & exit to the station, frequent train services. You’ll almost always be waiting over 45mins for the “rapid” 910 bus service towards Burswood, with 8 services not showing up one particular morning, leaving me waiting over an hour before I gave up and took a different service via Perth CBD. No toilet facilities. No disabled access to southbound platform from westbound bus services.

A train bus interchange located over the railway line / Kwinana Freeway. An important public transport interchange in a small space. Allows access to buses that service surrounding suburbs and Curtin University. No car parking here, so plan to travel through by bus or train ow walk. The bus stops can be very crowded at times and there really isn't enough room for the routes that go through here.

Like it very much but what about some food stalls on the train station that you can buy some food from if you are running early or have a long wait before your next train....I've seen it in Japan...I understand we aren't allowed to eat it on the train but what about just on the platform....what a great business idea for all the train stations around Western Australia....we would be the first in Australia wouldn't we...?

IF YOU LIVE IN THIS AREA,YOU ARE PROBABLY A REGULAR TRAVELER, FROM THIS TRAIN AND BUS STATION.BUSES TO ALL AREAS, AND TRAIN LINE PERTH TO MANDURAH. I WATCHED THEM BUILD THE MOUNT HENRY BRIDGE ,FOLLOWED BY THE FREEWAY RAIL LINE, INCREDIBLE TO OBSERVE,THE WAY THEY LAID THE TRAIN LINES. ONLY CRITICISM, VERY LITTLE PARKING FOR COMMUTERS

I hope they got a discount from the architect. Restricted disabled access, no cover on the westbound stand from the sun in summer or prevailing rain in winter.

Beautiful station right next down to the bridge and surrounding suburbs. It probably should be called Como or Manning as it the nearest suburbs.
