One the the best bun bo hue spicy beef noodle soup. Pho is also of great flavour and quality. Highly recommended. Pork chop broken rice is also delicious. Thumb up! We came again after three days. We ordered different dishes and they are all delicious. Chicken rice clay pot is really yummy.
Taste alright but I waited for over half an hour. Definitely under staff in this cafe. The dirty dishes were there when we arrived and stated there the entire time we were there for our meals, simply showing how busy this cafe get. If you are in a rush you may want to avoid this place during lunch hours 12-1.
Prob one of the best Vietnamese salads I’ve ever had. So fresh with a subtle but super tasty dressing. Also the rice paper rolls were fantastic- clean, fresh and full of flavour. 5 stars
Cafe Saba is a real gem - subtle, fresh and utterly delicious food. There's a great menu of authentic Vietnamese dishes from delicate beef Pho, to laksa, noodles and quail. You can select the level of chilli , sour and spice. There's a good wine and beer selection too. Open for lunch and dinner - you will not be disappointed!
I've always ordered the combination rice or Pho which is always very substantial to feed and share with my boys. I'm yet to try the spring rolls, but I also very much recommend the dry combination noodles as well. The Vietnamese coffee is great for my senses and will give you a buzz. Lots of parking. A nice outdoor area. Nice hidden gem and definitely better priced than other Vietnamese restaurants in the Norwood area.
went there tonight for early dinner. was served by a waitress in white T shirt. We ordered 2 dishes to be shared between 2 people, naturally we need 2 extra bowls and also requested politely for some chilli, is it an unreasonable request? The waitress looked annoyed w us but came back later with 2 bowls. Since she did not bring any chilli I reminded her that we would like some chilli. She chose to look away and ignored us altogether. Sorry to bother you with the extra work. We will never bother you again for anything
It is not the same since the new owners. Everything is tasted overly sweet now! The pho soup is not hot and no basil, the roast pork wasn’t crispy and rubbery. Worse the Vietnamese coffee has no coffee taste with hardly any coffee powder in there. Waited over half an hour for food. Nothing was right...
Well I thought I'd try this place, I wouldn't recommend it at all. I ordered the chicken spring rolls for entre & seafood pad thai for mains. The main came out first, which is weird, but considering how unappetusing it looked. $18.50 for the pad thai... 4 prawns yes I counted 4 prawn tail shells & 2 overcooked pieces of squid they were rather rubbery, it looked like half a packet of pasta was used & the pasta was overcooked, to say it was the most disapponting pad thai I've ever eaten would be a huge understatement. I only gave it 1 star for the spring rolls & the accompanying chilli sauce. Will not be going back there again.
Decent place for Vietnamese food but not fantastic. Prices are fairly reasonable.
Firstly they do have free parking at the rear which is a plus near and on the Parade. Food is tasty and we'll proportioned. There are seats inside and outside undercover. Atmosphere depends where you are seated but both are good. Staff attentive shop clean food tasty. You can have entrees like spring rolls and dumplings and do your own Vietnamese yum cha if you are not into laksas or phos. Yes they do have alcohol and coffee.
