Latte was okay but too full and spilled everywhere when I picked it up. Ordered the pesto pasta which arrived with my knife and fork handles IN the food. No serviette so had to get up to get one to wipe off the food. The food itself needs review by owners as it was not pesto pasta. Way too tangy and a cream base. Couldn’t eat it all. Hope they can do better next time.

Nice small cafe with friendly staff attached to the side of Karori Library. Sturdy highchairs and a low table with drawers full of assorted toys. Only downside is it can get quite hot on sunny days by the windows.

We visited here because we were hungry and this was one of two choices, the other of which had higher star reviews, but looked dingey and old fashioned, whereas this place looked more modern. The atmosphere was good and the food was reasonably good also. Nothing fancy or outstanding, but we got what was on the menu. My scrambled eggs on sourdough toast were very good - a little runny, but hot and tasted great. The coffee was the usual excellent standard I've come to expect pretty much everywhere in New Zealand these days.

The coffee would be regarded as good only in Perth or a very small town.    But it's better than instant.  And the cafe is child-friendly, spacious, and flows into the library.  Not a bad choice if it is raining and and Gipp Street cafe, Marsden Village Cafe, and Karori Park cafe are too far away.

I go there everytime I visit Karori.  I left my wallet there and were really helpful in getting it sent back.
