Such a great place to go for a low key, fast and tasty breakfast or lunch. These guys are great, service is always so fast both from the front of house and the kitchen. Brilliant location in the botanic gardens too, if you go there in spring often the mum ducks are touring with ducklings in tow

We absolutely loved Picnic. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Water is automatically brought to the table. The wait for food off the menu is minimal. I ordered the burger and it was hands down the best burger I've ever had!!!!

A great cafe with great food and friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere and just love the way the ducks are able to wander around when you are dining outside. The ducks just add that special touch!

A peaceful moment in the Picnic café! There is a car park near the café but it's a small one so you should have to park your car probably elsewhere (kapiti road, etc). the serving was friendly. Not a long time to wait for food. Everything has been made for kids to let them waiting quietly. Not an amazing food, but it was really good, well cooked (benedicte eggs). There is a picnic box for kids. The view on the roses is amazing! Definitively I will return there!

Reasonable prices given the location. Great view of the rose garden. Very attentive staff.
