Staff are super friendly and helpful. Food good and not a long wait despite being busy on a Sunday morning. Really like that it’s an all day breakfast and lunch menu too.
I have been coming to Sanctuary Cove for years, I never been here, glad I tried it. Beautifully cooked Club Sandwich, and a very tasty Burger, fries excellent.
Was not very busy when we went but you just seem to walk in and find a table. No-one greeted us or came to welcome us.nThe scrambled eggs on sourdough was really tasty. Unfortunately the waffles were a bit hard and way too sweet with actual large lumps of undissolved white sugar in them. Waffles should be fluffy in the middle with a little crunch on the outside. We've never had waffles so sickly sweet and one of our party could not finish theirs. The drinks were ok though. You can help yourself to water from the dispenser. Since you order and pay on your phone, and as no-one came to us during our visit to check in and see if everything was alright, in the end you just finish your meal and get up and go. A rather strange service experience.
First time visiting this Cafe after seeing all the highly rated reviews. Ordered the halloumi stack and was a bit disappointed with the portion size. It did taste good though. There was a bed of spinach with 3 very thinly sliced halloumi pieces and roast pumpkin and 1 roast tomato and fried egg.nI have had halloumi stack at many other cafes and it was always an actual stack of halloumi and normally a very filling plate. However, the plate served here didn't fulfil my appetite and I am not a big eater and normally unable to finish the whole plate on my own. In fact, I had to dig into my partners plate for more food. For the price they charge I would expect a fulfilling meal. It was otherwise very busy. Also they charge a surcharge if you order using the barcode on the table.
Very pleasant Café for lunch and coffee. Felt like a lot of the locals come here. The staff know their customers by name. Very friendly.nnPoached Eggs on sourdough with avocado was very good. Will come again. And I will be tempted by their beautiful looking carrot cake
