We do great food , especiallyBreakfasts on Saturday. We have Gluten Free... Very Fresh and healthy food and very reasonably priced... We Value friendly service and we like to have a bit of fun with our regular clientel...
We also have our own range of products under the Banyena Foods Label , its never ending at Chickpea... if we are not making our fanastic Yoyo, Our Truffles, our Jams and Preserves.. We are catering for Functions and making awesome Coffee..

Great little restaurant, good quality tasty food, great coffee and a nice atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating, with shade. Prices are reasonable. The Big Breakfast was fantastic. Restaurant caters for food allergies, just let them know. Also has good options for children.
Ordered food at 9:55am, food arrived at 10:55am - an hour wait. Plus 15% surcharge for public holiday. Table was dirty. I heard them say to another customer two staff called in sick, and it was clear they were struggling. Everyone here for the long weekend overwhelmed them. There were a few people looking frustrated with the wait. Coffee was pretty good, food was average - poached eggs were barely runny. Baked goods in counter looks delicious but we were just here for brekky.
On the trek from Melbourne to Adelaide, Chickpea cafe provided and excellent reason to stop rest and enjoy a coffee. The coffee was great and served relatively fast considering it was peak lunch time. The cafe has a selection of cakes, full meals, ice cream and local jams/sauces/dressing for sale. The cafe had a cosy atmosphere, it wasn't pretentious.
Excellent cafe, bacon was perfectly cooked. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Very busy little cafe, even at just after opening. Lovely staff, decent sized menu and terrific coffee and food.
