Being admitted with Covid, I was constantly moved around. The rooms then all had to be sterilised three separate areas. In short stay, I had to use the patient toilets, yet they were not sterilised. I was concerned for other patients. Strange processes. In addition when I was released, the lovely nurse pushed me in a wheelchair to the ED entrance. Another nurse then told me to get out of the wheelchair and sit on another chair. I informed her but she still insisted. So I walked out and sat. Not good communication at all and now I feel responsible for leaving germs for other people .
The emergency department is amazing. We took our child in with a suspected concussion and walked into a beautiful, fresh, clean new hospital we hadn’t been for a few years, so even though about 18months since the reno, all new to us. The children are seperate to the adults, and everything was clean and beautiful. The staff saw to us straight away, and all the drs and nurses we saw were amazing with our kid. 5 out of 5!
Today I had to visit Caboolture Hospital. I had bone cancer surgery to the iliac crest, which was done at the Princess Alexander Hospital. Unfortunately I suffered several wound infections from it. When I went to Caboolture Emergency today, I found Hannah at the reception to be very welcoming. She understood the situation straight away. I wasn’t too coherent, still tired from radiation therapy. She took me straight away to a hospital bed. There I was greeted by a very charming young lady Scarlett. She managed to put a cannula in straight away I have troublesome veins and the site didn’t hurt either, as it usually does after a while. Then I was visited by two Dr Johnathon’s. They took wonderful care of me. Checked my wound via ultrasound and bloods. Both very friendly, helpful and informative. I was getting ready for another grim hospital visit and was surprised by the friendliness. I had a good experience, made this whole “trauma” so much easier than to endure. Thank you
Actually the worst hospital I have ever been to. The wait time was ridiculous. We went in at 4:30 pm after an urgent referral from my doctor for severe abdominal pain. It took the 4 hours JUST to give me a cup to pee in in the waiting room and then another 1-1.5 hours for a doctor to see me and for him to take bloods and do a check the doctor was super kind and I had no problems with him I was then told it would take around an 1-1.5 hours to get my results back which is fine if that’s how long it takes but a nurse would be around in a few minutes to give me stronger pain medication. Did it take a minute? NO it took an hour. I then asked if anyone knew how long the doctor may be after waiting 1.5 hours. They either said we can’t discuss your results or we don’t know the doctor is really busy. I asked if I could come back in the morning to get my results because I was tired and in pain and couldn’t sit in uncomfortable chairs anymore. The nurse then said “well you can leave but if you come back tomorrow you will have to start the process again.” I asked if I could see my gp for the results the nurse said yes but if i decided to leave I need to tell the triage nurse which is understandable we told them and left. I will see my gp and won’t have to wait 7+ hours just to get results and if I have to go back to a hospital I will be going to Redcliffe Hospital.nnI understand hospitals are super busy however, another lady was there in tears in severe pain and they wouldn’t even see her till she was literally yelling and then started yelling how she was assaulted and that’s when they decided to see her.
We first met Dr Law during a hospital stay at Caboolture Hospital, and then again today at an outpatient appointment — and we honestly could not speak more highly of him.nnFrom the very beginning, Dr Law was kind, compassionate, and incredibly professional. He took the time to listen carefully, explain everything clearly, and made us feel comfortable and reassured during what was a stressful time. We never felt rushed or dismissed, and every concern was taken seriously.nnSeeing him again today only reinforced how dedicated he is to his patients. The continuity of care and genuine compassion he shows truly stand out. He treats people with respect, patience, and empathy, which makes such a difference when navigating health concerns.nnCaboolture Hospital is very fortunate to have a doctor like Dr Law. We are extremely grateful for the care, support, and professionalism shown both during the hospital stay and at outpatients today.nnThank you for the outstanding care.
