I always love sharing the good. Colin an older floor person at the store went out of his way to help me. I had no knowledge of which cleaner to use and when I approached him he pulled me aside and said I'll show what I use on my house. I almost felt like I was in on the Trade secret. He advised me to buy the spray dispenser unit with cleaner inside, keep the dispenser and when empty refill from a 5 liter container. Well I did this and was blown away when I used it. The house cleaned with very little effort in front of my eyes. Thanks very much Colin you must be a very valued employee of Bunnings. I really like shopping at our local Rotorua store. Looking at the whole carpark, centrelines, limit lines and give way triangles and a few arrows here and there looks as though it could do with some freshening up. Great place. Coffee can be hit and miss. Like all bunnings stores. Has a very large range of goods. The older staff are very friendly and always happy. Would be great if in summer they get air con for the store as on a hot day it's way worse inside the store. The humidity is insane in store. Makes a very uncomfortable shopping experience at times
I firstly attempted to order a product online from their website, which failed because I was not within 50k of the store. I then lost 3 hours of my day driving to the Rotorua Bunnings to pick up the product I requested them to hold for me on the phone. They never took my name or confirmed and subsequent calls were dropped. When I arrived they were unable to find the product the website said was in stock. The staff were poorly trained and constantly referring me to other departments who would then tell me they were unqualified to help me.
Wanted to buy spray paint but nobody there @ the paint department!! Asked an employee for help but he couldn’t so went to front desk & they put message out over the speaker … waited another 10mins & nobody came to help so I leaft empty & unhappy. Will go spend my money @ Mitre 10 …. Terrible service today @ Bunnings
Just visited the Café...the food and drink were OK. Lovely girls on the staff though...went through everything after I asked a question about a quiche. Would go back.
Went in this morning with a long list of things we needed. I decided we also needed a drop saw so added this to my trolley not expensive $150, went to leave the tool section only to be told I couldn't as I had the same in my cart. The girl told me I would need to leave that the the level there and come back for them. I also had a petrol water blaster which was 4x the price of the saw but I can freely walk round the shop with that??? Ended up leaving I all behind and going to mitre10
Just been into Bunnings Rotorua NZ. Friday 4.15pm. Was wanting a couple of small things and 2 only fence palings. Pulled into the Trade section and couldn't find palings. Not a soul in sight to ask except the kid on the exit door, who had no idea! Left and went into store for my other products. Found one of the two things I wanted and went to pay. Well! Self serve machines were closed. Only one checkout open, she had a queue of 3 people with trollies. Customer service desk had 2 girls working dealing with a customer each, which turned into 2 girls dealing with one customer. 2 more customers waiting to be served in queue Tool checkout was open. One girl serving. 2 people waiting. She finishes serving and went off to help the next customer in tool dept, leaving the 1 person still waiting! And cash register unattended. Actually got help from a young guy and asked him where the palings were. He told me to drive straight through trade and outside the door the palings were. Forklift parked across outside exit, so wandered out looking for palings, nope none there, and again not a soul in sight to ask!! So went out another exit and guess what? Still no palings in sight! So exited Bunnings Rotorua NZ after informing the kid on the exit gate that yep someone told me where they were but they weren't there. And then I spotted another staff member having a lovely sit and rest on some timber!! Even tho Bunnings is only about 5 minutes from my home and is cheaper than other stores, I am seriously considering crossing town to go to another home improvement store! Bunnings Rotorua has definately gone down in their service from when they first opened.
Slow service, no express checkout opened, girl on the phone for 20 minutes while customers were everywhere. Customers pay your wages shouldn't have to wait endlessly for someone to serve.
Service was non existant and staff didn't look very happy at all. Mustn't be a very nice place to work. I won't be back in a hurry. Bunning's needs to take a leaf out of Mitre 10s book.
