Love Bunnings Tauranga! Always plenty of parking, staff are really helpful and something for the kids to look forward to when I'm done shopping.
I'm very happy with Bunnings. However my Ryobi edge trimmer motor stopped working just outside the warranty period and yes I mixed the right oil. My pressure washer arrived in the box without an o-ring. Now after using it 3 times the hose has burst. Why do you sell such an inferior product??
1 star is generous. This branch has major stock control issues which existed long before the pandemic. Bunnings as a whole doesn't appear to do any quality testing and I've had to return no less than a dozen faulty items in the last year. Special orders dept is a joke, there's always a shortage of till staff and long slow-moving queues. Self checkout only takes cards and is closed in it's entirety at times. Shoddy, second rate and not worth shopping at unless you enjoy your time being wasted. Have switched to Mitre10.
Bunnings is great providing what we want BUT the temperature in store is not a great experience. We couldn't wait to get out of the store and we didn't get everything we needed, the heat was unbearable. Those poor workers. I left the store feeling sick and drove an hour with a headache... won't be returning again on a hot day.
Aisles were clear. Items were organised. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Had to wait in line at the counter for a while though, would have been good if they opened the second till. Ended up getting more then I planned :
Was picking up online pre-order. Originally said items were in Rotorua store, so I clicked through to complete order. Very pleasant young lady rang to say they were not available at Rotorua, but at Mt Maunganui, so they would mail to me at their cost. Confirmation came through as Collect at the Mount. I decided to call to clarify as was actually going to the Mount on Saturday - system said calls being answered in 20 mins - 52 mins later I got through & she confirmed they were not being mailed, so I completed click & collect arrangements - phew - really need to get your act together, Bunnings!
Got what we needed. Prices better than elsewhere and staff helpful. Very busy but staff still cheerful and had good range
Never had a bad experience, I come here for a range of things, tools, gardening stuff etc. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable when needed.
Lovely garden centre. Aisles could be a bit wider with multiple people and trolleys trying to manoeuvre. I'm visiting from out of town, there are no arrows on the ground of the carpark and yet I got stopped by a grumpy customer and told I was going the wrong way!!! Apart from the entrance and exit sign, I could see no evidence of right or wrong way. Not Bunnings fault.
