I went to Bunnings to get some potting mix. I had a trolley and looked at the different options, trying to decide which one to choose. A friendly young man approached me and asked if he could help. I requested four bags of potting mix, and he suggested I ask someone at the front to assist me in loading them into my car. What a lovely young man! That’s what I call proper customer service. Being small is not bad, especially when you use a stool to reach up and grab something; you may notice two staff members rushing over to offer assistance.
Bunnings usually has amazing staff members delivering wonderful service but not tonight. Went in at 6.30 and Stopped in the Tool depot for a triple pack of Ryobi batteries. Had 3 items total. At the checkout, the young girl was providing aisle numbers for a customer to find items he had on his phone. I waited whilst 3 others also lined up behind me. The young fellow turned to me and said that he had a few more and I might like to go elsewhere. I asked if I could just pay for my three things and was told by the server that she had to finish ‘serving’ the fellow she was helping. I’m sorry. There are floor personnel to help with directions. I almost left my $250 of purchases on the counter and walked out.nI then went to the front counter to pay and told the girl there about what had happened only to again be told the fellow who was asking for directions to stock, including items from marketplace, had priority over customers wishing to complete their purchases. This is not the way to give service. There is a service desk for assistance, backed up with floor personnel, so the checkout person should have served the paying customers before assisting a customer with these types of questions. Not a happy customer tonight
My recent visit to this Bunnings had a rocky start but a positive finish, thanks to the store manager, Baiba.nWe were purchasing a laser level, and due to store policy for expensive items, a staff member took it to the register for us, as required. We were told it was at the counter, so we waited patiently in line for our turn to check out. After waiting for a while, it was incredibly frustrating when, upon reaching the register, the staff member couldn't find our item. This situation was clearly not our fault, as we were simply following the store's own procedure for such purchases. Instead of assisting to locate the item their colleague had handled, she was quite unhelpful, told us we needed to sort out who had taken it, and then wanted to move on to the next customer. This was particularly disheartening after the wait and knowing we had done everything correctly on our part.nThe situation improved dramatically when the store manager, Baiba, stepped in. Baiba listened to our concerns, understood the issue immediately, and resolved it very professionally and appropriately. We were really impressed with Baiba's excellent customer service.nBecause of Baiba's help, we left satisfied and will continue to shop here.
First thing I learned in business was the only thing a customer can’t get elsewhere is better service. After dropping into your cafe today I was assisted by a beautiful lady named Janine. Not only was my coffee sensational, but it was presented to me with a lovely smile and a cheery personality.nLevel of service matters as much as quality of product
Came in on today, Friday, and weren’t greeted as 4 girls at the front continued their conversations. We stopped and asked them for help but they didn’t seem overly pleased to pause their conversation to answer whether an item was in stock, then told us to go to the promo section.nnAfter being lost for 10 minutes with no direction, the lovely Sheryl stopped to help us. Not only did she redirect us, she walked with us to ensure we found exactly what we needed. She went above and beyond to say the least, and we have got to say it was some of the best service we have EVER had.nThank you Sheryl, a simple interaction like that has made our day entirely.
