Bunnings Preston is one of the best locations I’ve been to — spacious, well laid out, and easy to navigate. The staff are consistently friendly and approachable, always ready to give advice or point you in the right direction. There’s a great range of stock across all sections, from tools and timber to plants and homewares, and it’s usually well organised so you can find what you need without hassle. Parking is plentiful and convenient, which makes shopping here stress-free. Overall, a reliable and well-run store that makes every DIY trip smooth and enjoyable.
2 starsnnPretty disappointing experience with Bunnings delivery. It arrived a day late, and one sheet of plasterboard was damaged. I had organised an assisted delivery, but the second person never showed up, which made things difficult.nnI also tried calling the store to sort it out and was on hold for over 5 minutes. Eventually I gave up and went in person. As you can see from the photo, there were plenty of staff around who could have answered the phone. Not the level of service I expected from a company who says they provide great service! Not sure how accurate this is!nnTimmo
I’d like to give a big shout-out to your employee, Mark. I was in a rush to finish a job and needed to pick up exactly 400kg of rocks. I had parked near the garden section gate to load up, but it closed right at 5pm. Without hesitation, Mark helped me out by pushing the trolley full of rocks to the front of the store while I moved my car to the main entrance about 100 metres away.nnHis customer service was exceptional. Even before that, he had already gone above and beyond pointing me in the right direction and even grabbing a trolley for me. Really appreciated his help!
I came in Friday and I was blown away by John from plumbing that I’m giving a 5 star review all thanks to him. John, you listened to me, helped me find my way, gave me some tutorials, you were kind and your confidence made my worries fade away. You helped me where I needed it and went a step further, and then when my trip was done with more than I could hold you helped me to the front and on my way. Thank you for the time you gave to help me, thank you for your positive self, and I’m very grateful for the birthday girl’s directions. All the very best to you and hope to bump into you in the future. Ps: you were right about the purchase.
I'm writing this on behalf of my wife who is dyslexic. She had a very disappointing experience at Bunnings Coburg on Sunday 10 August 2025 @ 5:30pm.nShe went on behalf of me to purchase paint primer while I was at home painting. At the paint desk, she showed the older woman working there who was eating at the time a photo of the primer I needed on her phone.nnShe told my wife what aisle it was in, but she explained that she has dyslexia and struggles with reading and writing. Instead of assisting her, she asked, “Why didn’t your husband come?” she replied that he was painting and had sent me to get the primer.nnShe then told her that she wanted to escalate the matter to her manager. At that point, she quickly changed her approach and decided to help her. Our question is—why does it have to reach that stage before she received assistance?nnSadly, we find this type of experience to be common at Bunnings, and it’s unacceptable. Customers should be treated with respect and supported—especially when they disclose a disability—without having to ask for a manager first.
