Story

Bundoora Secondary College is a public secondary school for girls and boys in years 7 to 12 located in a residential block on the corner of Balmoral Avenue and Moreton Crescent in Bundoora, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.HistoryOriginally formed as "Greenwood High School" in an area where the closest exiting schools were boys-only technical colleges, the school first took students in 1971. At this time the school shared the adjacent Greenwood Primary School site (Now Bundoora Primary School). The home-economics and the library wing (also used by School Administration at that time) were the first, and only, buildings to be built at that time, on the current site. They were then surrounded by portable classrooms. Once these buildings were ready it was time, for the school to move onto its own site. This occurred during 1971 and the school was officially opened.Greenwood High School was officially opened by the Principal Mr Adrian Callinan in 1971. In 2011 the college celebrated its 40-year anniversary. At the time of its official opening, the school had 4 staff and about 100 students who were all in year 7. Adrian Callinan remained Principal from 1971–1975. During this period the population of the school grew to over 600 students. In 1976 Ms Jean Crewther became Principal, holding the position until 1982. It was Jean who had the vision for developing and building the ECA Centre (the gym and drama studio) and it was during this time that the band Pseudo Echo was formed at the school and Mandy Walker, award-winning Australian Cinematographer, was becoming interested in film media. It took until 1984 for the ECA Centre building to be completed and to be officially opened. By this time Mr Ray Gillette was the Principal of the school. Ray was Principal of Greenwood High School from 1983 until 1987. During the years from 1971 to 1988 the school uniform was in the Australian colours of green and gold and enrolments at the school grew to over 1200 students.

I think this school okay my son went here for a excursion and he’s saw a vape in the bin the kids a kinda okay he said the teacher where nice but now reading the reviews he thinks the teacher are okay but if you like Science, technology and animals you should let your kids go there or maybe not 3 stars
Lately I have been targeted by multiple teachers, and yes my behaviour isnt perfect, but that doesn't give the teachers the excuse to constantly target me everywhere I go. I have had the worst english teacher, she has failed to help me with my work, and constantly targets me. I wrote her an email discussing this issue, and she didnt reply back, but passed it onto the principal. Also my maths teacher is just horrible. Overall the school is okay, the principal understands most of my issues but the teachers fail to follow through. But wait... theres more, most teachers at the school fail to mark off students work on compass, this happened to me for basically the whole year, and my parents were always annoyed at me for stuff that wasnt my fault, but it was the schools fault, they dont mark off learning tasks!
This school is good great education friendly staff and tons of learning opportunities. But not enough space for parking
Schools need to be accountable to for student behaviours, but after contacting the school and letting them know that students where abusing young girls, was told by the office, I didn’t need to hear that nor did the young girls, nor did I or anyone else in that shopping area but if you don’t know their name than not there problem very unacceptable and to think wearing your school uniform that first point of contact is you, and being concerned enough let them know that that’s the behaviour and being told well I don’t need to hear that is disgusting and very much unprofessional to say the least, working in education I will be contacting the education department for the lack of concern for the students and the public!!!
I have so much respect for the teachers that I had at this school they have made an incredible impact on my everyday life. Or though I might not have listened to every single instruction we both made it work.nI had great encouragement with everyone of my teachers. They did there best to help me learn everything possible.nnThere was no other place I would have gone to school even if it was for a short time I still would have been here.nnI’d also like to wish sue muscat the greatest of retirements you definitely deserve it, I hope you’ve made good use of it so far and done a lot with yourself.nYou’ve certainly earned it with everything that you have achieved over your school work life with all the sacrifices that you have made over the years enjoy it.
