Story

Bundaberg Regional Libraries was created after the amalgamation of four local governments in March 2008. Bundaberg Library is the largest branch and has been in operation since 1980. Bundaberg Regional Libraries are funded by Bundaberg Regional Council and have four branches - Bundaberg, Gin Gin, Childers and Woodgate.

Our mission is for each of our libraries to be a vibrant and relevant community resource centre providing recreational, educational and information services.

Today I visited the library. Free Parking was easy. The space was clean, looked well designed and new. There was a cafe, children space, lots of computers and scanners available for use, function rooms, a good supply of books and other material to borrow. There were games and an information board with brochures for upcoming events, talks, activities and lots of information.nI was able to scan and email important documents and join the library for future use.nThe BEST asset I found there today was Missy, the local librarian.what a patient, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, kind lady. She assisted me to join, complete tasks without judgement, helped search for books, borrow a book. Introducing me to the. Myriad of facilities available. I very much look forward to taking advantage of many of the services available, in the future.nThank you so much Missy, she even delayed her lunch break to offer me as much assistance as possible.nI wasn’t having a very good day, up until that point but Missy turned it around for me. I left with a much calmer hopeful outlook.nThank you for all your help today and for the comprehensive introduction to all the services you provide The community.
I went to the Bundaberg Library to join as a member, I was so impressed by the way I was treated by Misty and Karen on duty staff when I went to enquire about the situation.nnThey have a massive library of books and lots of services to go with the library. The seed information was awesome. They have seeds for you to take and grow at home.nnCan do online borrowing and normal regular borrows as well. You need to activate a few other apps to make the experience easier.nnThey have a cafe as well to read and enjoy your books with a coffee or tea as well, didn't see a y snacks, so maybe no eating in the library.nnReally good experience overall and some awesome services to experience. Helpful staff, plenty of room, free computer use, even a Cafe inside. Lots of different activities all in air-conditioned comfort.

The staff at Bundy library were wonderful and so helpful to my small problem today. You gals at front counter know who you are and i say a big Thankyou.
