Customer service - staff were friendly and inviting. Food was okay - baos and chicken wings were delicious. Nachos would have been better without the beans, each to their own though. Drinks were good - lots on offer to choose from, from local Tasmanian beers and ciders to other various beers and ciders as well. Atmosphere was great - Friday night, the place was bustling - but in a good way. People were happy, footy was on the TV. Overall good experience!
Good location, big space inside and cool interior with a fireplace too!! Staffs are really friendly and attentive. They have cool selection for Parmy! Everything taste good. The local tap beers are a bit more expensive that the usual in your regular pubs. But by far, ine of the good schnitzel pub place in Hobart, I think.
Genuinely surprised. Went for an average pub meal and ended up with a pretty darn good feed. Was much more done up than your average pub and the food was delicious with a good selection. Portions were very reasonable too. Staff were very friendly and only too happy to seat us even though we had no reservation for dining area. Highly recommended for a night out.
Had a meal here out in the back area. Felt like your outside when your actually in a covered indoor space. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and polite. The meal i had fish was very nice and tasty the batter was crispy. Others had the variety of Parmi and all were happy with the meals. The stand out was the crispy fried pink eyes a side dish everyone tried and loved, should of ordered more. Clean toilets. Adhering to covid requirements with notices, crosses on floor and limits.
Brunswick hotel is such an amazing place! We are visiting from Sydney, and thoroughly enjoyed the vibe that the restaurant brought, and the food was so incredible! A little on the pricey side, but in my opinion it is worth it for the taste!! Highly rated, and will definitely be coming back :
Great pub in a superb location! Wood fire has been going when I've been previously but not on this occasion. Drinks list looks good. Menu was fantastic. A fantastic parmi and I've had other things from the menu before. This night I had the wallaby parmi with wilted greens and a cream sauce. Tasty crumb, greens plentiful, and a great sauce. Chips on the side were great, large cut with just enough seasoning. Small lettuce side salad with shaved parmigiana was a nice touch. The lady had fried calamari. Tasty and tender, and a good serving size. The ?hot sauce / chili mayonnaise was fantastic. The only thing letting this review down was I feel as though the interior dining space could do with a little more work. We were in a space with a concrete floor. Maybe a flower on the table, or a candle? Not sure. The service by an older lady was a little flat, but three young gents that we saw were very nice.
After landing and walking around in arctic Hobart it didn't take long to make it to the nearest pub for some beer, chips and heaters. It's a nice after-work pub and we got it just before the rush and didn't stay long after it came. Chips were nice and so was the cauliflower. Had I worked in the CBD and spent much of my salary on large but regretful nights here I'd probably love it but it as it stands I just like it.
Another great meal at the Brunswick. This time all orders were from the very extensive Parmi menu. One was "Convict", one was "Amigos", and both meals were really, really good probably the best parmi ever. The service was excellent, dining area is very comfortable, and the bathroom lovely.
Good food and nice facilities. There are different rooms so you can choose the best option depending what you want. Horrible customer service. I spent more than 15 minutes trying to order food. It was not a lot of people waiting to order but the staff just didn’t want to take my order. I can’t think in another reason different that they noticed I was speaking in a different lenguaje and I’m not Australian. They took the order of every person that get there after me and even I asked them to take my order they just kept attending other people. Only when it was a gap of a couple of minutes without any new customer, the staff didn’t have other option than taking my order. But the guy didn’t take my order with the same good actitud he had with everyone else. He was very rude to me. I hope it’s just this person because the place is very nice.
I was doing Feb fast when I visited. This was due to me drinking a little too much throughout December and January. Decided I needed a little break. It's hard around that time of year. End of work parties roll into Christmas, Christmas rolls into new year, then it's time for summer BBQs and festivals. The lemon lime bitters I drank was excellent. As was the service.
