Absolutely best place in all of Sydney! A little oasis hidden in the CBD. Please don't be a jerk or mole - it's trusted parklands, dogs the animals & bikes like recreationally not welcome in the park, respect the rules so everyone can enjoy this place. Pack a picnic rug, some snacks & a bev you're allowed to drink inside & enjoy a fab arvo on the edge of the harbour under the shade of a tree.
A beautiful and relaxing escape into nature amidst the skyscrapers in CBD. Very well maintained space with a large variety of plants and trees. There is a massive peepul tree near the centre, it was absolutely gorgeous. There are toilets, plenty benches and a children's play area too.
Beautiful gardens close to the city;nWell maintained with good walking paths and toilet facilities.nThe plant varieties were amazing as were the wildlife. We saw quail, blue-faced honey eaters, curlew, water hens, ibis, parrots, eels, dragon lizards and fruit bat's to name a few. A real pleasure to have spent time here.
My daughter and I headed into the city for a nice early Saturday morning walk, and we wandered through the Botanic Gardens before crossing the river to South Bank. The gardens were peaceful at that hour; tidy paths, well‑maintained lawns, and a lovely calm atmosphere. Some of the garden beds were a little bare in places, but everything else felt really well cared for.nnThe water feature was clean and clear, which added to the relaxing feel of the walk. I also appreciated the practical touches: the public toilets in the centre of the park were clean, and the bins were well placed and easy to find throughout the gardens.nnOverall, it’s a lovely spot for a quiet early morning stroll, especially if you’re easing into the weekend.
After visiting many, many locations around the world, Brisbane's City Botanic Gardens take the cake. It is absolutely stunning from the outside and in. My morning runs through the park gave my day a huge upstart and walking though in a slower pace with the family unveiled the entire beauty of the park from all its plant life and wildlife to the fountains and playground. Very stunning and a must see for anyone visiting the city.
