Nice area for a walk right next to CBD although it did feel more like a park as opposed to a botanical garden. Lots of areas were also under maintenance or blocked out for improvements during our visit. The walking area next to the river is nice and calming, and overall the park in general does give you a little bit of that separation from city bustle. Public toilets available though I didn't go in to check condition. Free access.
One of the reasons I always admire Australia and New Zealand: spaces like the City Botanic Gardens. So beautifully maintained and preserved, it’s hard to believe you’re still in the middle of the city. Walking through the lush greenery is incredibly peaceful, and there’s something genuinely refreshing about being surrounded by nature like this.
Beautiful space to relax and spend some time in admiring the native plants and many birds. You can walk down to the riverfront as well. It's a lovely, tranquil and well maintained park.
Beautiful place to visit right in the city center of Brisbane. Wonderful place to have a relaxed walk in the afternoon. Highly recommend for the first-time visitors who stay in the downtown area. Another way to enjoy the park is riding electronic scooters if you don't feel like walking. We will definitely come again next time.
Queensland's oldest heritage park is located in the heart of the city, but it's also steeped in history. One side of the park is located along the banks of the Brisbane River, and you can take a leisurely stroll along the Bunya Walk for almost 1 km. If you're on an early morning walk and want breakfast, The Gardens Club is open from 7 a.m., seven days a week.
