Disappointing Service. Booked my Seadoo JetSki in for a service and a new Battery was quoted a price over the phone service wasn’t done on the day but was done the next morning and they never called me when the service was completed. When I picked up my JetSki in the morning I was charged of extra parts I did not ask for they where supposed to inform me over the phone but they didn’t I was also charged 10% service fee on top of the agreed quote. I will be dealing with Seadoo directly from now on this has been a disappointing experience hope my review helps others.
Awesome expertise. I wanted a gps and transducer both in tucked away places. Other companies wanted to make a mount and screw transducer on the outside. Obviously Jetski’s are quite erratic and could easily damage both. Told BAM what I wanted and how I wanted it. They made it work no problem.
Won’t work on JetSki over 10 years old, not very helpful when your JetSki has a problem and looking for a company that will service and fix the problem
AVOID!! Dishonores warranties, poor workmanship!!! For anything more technical than an oil change, look for proven PWC mechanical workshops. After my Yamaha sank and required assessment for insurance, I took my ski to Brisbane auto marine to determine if it was repairable under insurance, Brisbane Auto marine determined they can rebuild the ski under contract to the insurancer under the condition of providing a rebuilt engine and Hull repair The Hull repair was outsourced because BAM did not have the expertise to complete the minor repair themselves 9 months into the build all Work to be done to correct specifications by a certified mechanic within a specific budget and guarantee Of workmanship with a water test and warranty The mechanical and Electrical expertise demonstrated by Brisbane auto marine really became questionable after it Took the owner 3 days to fault find a stuck relay. I even suggested "if it's not getting power, I would check the relay" the reply from the owner was "I'm an electrical engineer, I know it's not the relay" Turns out it was the relay, the one just after the battery. After a drawn out and painfully slow build filled with delays, excuses, getting into contact with asbestos at the workshop and needing to personally install basic components myself to my own ski to Speed up the snail pace rebuild which in the end BAM attempted to charge me labour claiming they did The work themselves I was told to come pick it up and take it to someone else, then I was given a bill with "no water test" "could not get running" written on the bottom next to the total cost exceeding $10,000 and told no warranty! That's 10k plus the $7k+ BAM Received from the insurer claiming the job was completed as per original quote. I then had to take it to yamaha certified mechanic who promptly diagnosed The problems The results were Brisbane Auto Marine incorrectly installed my crankshaft resulting in severe engine damage costing me another $3500 to repair. My crankshaft which was professionally race balanced at my own cost was damaged beyond repair and needed to be replaced, the specific tool required to correctly tighten the crankshaft after installation, BAM did not have so whatever method they used to tighten the crankshaft assembly failed shearing the key on the taper Lock Also during the initial inspection the new certified mechanic found the following 1. Engine coupler sitting approx 5mm too low and a lot of scratches on the brand new part 2. Engine was not aligned properly which can cause major damage in the future 3. Incorrectly and poorly rewiring of the ecu wiring harness requiring full replacement 4. Front engine mount loose 5. Damage to the inside surface of the brand new stator assembly 6. Rod bolts not tightened properly and toque settings out of spec. 7. starter relay supplied and installed by Brisbane auto marine stuck on after trying to shut down the ski and pulling the lanyard, Requiring the battery to be disconnected to stop, nearly burning out the starter motor. When I asked about warranty and workmanship guarantee earlier in the build the reply from the owner was exactly this "my word is my warranty" and refused to put anything in writing or tell me what the bill is at I emailed Brisbane auto marine regarding the damage and honouring their warranty which they guaranteed verbally numerous times, with a smile the email reply which I still have from the owner was abusive and cannot be posted here. What I've learnt from dealing with this Brisbane auto marine BAM is, If your jetski requires any performance, maintenance or Repair work done and done professionally with a written warranty and workmanship guarantee I strongly recommend using reputable mechanically and dealer certified workshops or dealers with a proven history in the PWC performance industry. I was unable to get that at Brisbane auto marine! Thanks for taking the time to read my honest review Regards Mitch
I have had a lot of trouble with other jet ski mechanics in the past so was very happy when I found Chris Owner at BRISBANE AUTO MARINE. He is honest and trustworthy. Also a pleasure to deal with, the chris team was very knowledgeable able to quickly diagnose the issue with my ski and fix the problem, their professional team looked after me very well I have not had a problem ever since. Chris has a wealth of knowledge and I wouldn't take my ski anywhere else. I will recommend everyone to go to Brisbane Auto Marine .
Best service around brisbane. Chris always looks after me, and listen to what my requirements are from a regular service to tuning the ski He also helped me with selling my previous ski, and it was sold on the same day as when i dropped it off.. Great service, keep it up..
Brisbane Auto Marine is one of the best places to go for jet servicing and rebuilding. Chris has a really good knolage of new and old jets skis. Also very well priced. The job gets done on time.
Fabulous service, looked after us well
What a great service I received from this business. I have an old jetski that needed a lot of work. Other bigger jetski services turned their nose up at me. But Brisbane auto marine helped and provided a great service which I will continue to use. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this business to anyone out there wanting a service or to buy a jetski or anything relating to jetskis. Thanks again chris keep up the great work
My husband sent his jet ski to Chris and asked him to diagnose as it couldn’t start. He charged him $429 to just to have it looked at, nothing being repaired yet! Moreover, he offered to buy the JetSki from us for free because he wanted parts. It was at this stage that he gave the bill of $429 which in our opinion felt like he tried to force us to sell with the high bill. There was no invoice provided and we had to chase it up a few times. He finally sent it because I told him I’d have to report it to ATO. When we finally got the invoice we noticed he made up many items. When my husband picked it up the battery was flat but in the invoice he charged $45 to recharge it. Again lead down test showed in the invoice but no result was given. He found oil in hull but couldn’t identify the cause. My husband used less than half hour and found out dipstick was broken. If he had removed intake he would see it, even though he charged $150 for this. The JetSki wasn’t fully reassembled some parts weren’t in place. If you don’t know the problem of your JetSki don’t get him to check, otherwise he could rip you off for nothing being done. I don’t think he has good ethics so watch out.
