This venue has always had such potential and finally it has been realised. The space has been well renovated and what was once a shockingly poor dive of a pub is now vibrant and welcoming. At a time of impersonal QR code garbage with zero personality or product knowledge, real hospitality is at the forefront of this refreshingly professional venue. Cocktails are well presented and just plain good. Wine list is well thought out and different, not overcharged bottles from Dans. Menu isn’t just the usual suspects cooked to hell, it’s simple but exciting, just what a modern pub should be. Very impressed. Then again, with a legend of Melbourne hospitality, the great Jason Pitt as GM, it’s no wonder this hotel group is setting new benchmarks for pubs around Melbourne.
Nice place with outdoor area and private function area. Recently remodeled. Can be pricey depending on what you want. Large selection of beers and cider then the wine. Meals are good and served quickly. For lunch today I had the lamb skewers that were cooked just right. Unfortunately I ate them before I took a photo. Followed by medium rare 500gm grass fed rump cap and bernaise sauce. Nice cold VB stubble to follow all up cost $60 which I thought was good value and everything was cooked to my liking.
Complained about the steak tonight to a guy with mohawk that cleared our table, did not take on any feedback but just wanted to argue with us. Gravy was watery and my steak came out well done instead of medium rare. Wanted to argue the waitress checked on us but didn't at all. They should really get some people that knows how to interact with customers and deal with complaints. Is that worth arguing and upsetting your customers because you're arrogant and inexperience with dealing with complaints? Over one meal? Wow...
Second visit here since it re opened. Can not fault the service or the food. Great value. Highly recommend this place
This is an amazing gem in Werribee on Watton st. Parking is super easy as you have the free parking lot to the side and back of the venue or you can park on Watton itself. We always come in to enjoy the bistro food as a family. They have space to park a pram and highchairs if required. There is a great selection of food available on the menu - my favourites for entrees are the saganaki, potato scallops and garlic bread. Mains I've tried most things on the menu too - at the moment my favourite is the Beef Ragu. They make a great steak, bangers and mash as well as Parma. The kids meals are really generous - the highlights for my two are the fish and chips or the mac n cheese. Definitely recommend booking a table on the weekend as it gets quite busy. Also, there is a lovely area out the front for drinks in summertime. Service is great and the staff are friendly. We will be back.
A last minute drop in for lunch mid week while visiting from Queensland. Exceptional service with smile, and a delicious ploughman's platter. 100% recommended place to come.
Good food, great staff, and reasonable prices. We had a belated Christmas lunch with a group of 15, and it was fantastic. Our waiter seemed to be the only one in the dining room, but managed to check in regularly and had such a friendly and attentive attitude. Most of the food was sent out quickly, but there was a hold-up on two of the mains. But this was quickly compensated for with a round of drinks for the table! I'll definitely be back. Thanks to all the staff!
We had lunch there today. Araci ni balls for an entree. Fish and chips for lunch.
Cool place to catch up for a drink... but food is pretty underwhelming.... ordered pretty much all of the starters and all i can say is over priced and bellow average... except for the mortadella which was lovely but basic, and the dip and bread which was ok. Sausage rolls was the biggest let down as they had a raw taste to them! No seasoning and needed more cooking! Very very bland!! Our jug of cocktail tasted like there was no alcohol in it either :
My catchup with friends was most enjoyable at the Bridge Hotel. Our service was very friendly and accommodating with our waiter knowing his stuff. He was pleasant, helpful and informative. The meals were presented well and enjoyed by all. Bathroom facilities were of a good standard.
