I recently visited the BP service station at Cnr Channel Highway & John Street, Kingston, TAS 7050, and had a very disappointing experience with a staff member—an Indian gentleman in his late 20s to early 30s. I asked him at the counter if he could help me choose the right engine oil for my car. Without even looking at the bottle, he quickly said, “No, I can't help you with that,” and offered no assistance.nnAfter buying the oil, I went out to my car, looked up the correct oil online, and realised I’d bought the wrong one. I went back inside, picked up the right oil, and returned to the counter for a refund. The same staff member said, “Are you sure this is the right one? Because I can only do a certain amount of refunds,” in a rude and dismissive tone.nnLater, when I got home, I noticed he had short-changed me by $10 on the refund. I didn’t want to deal with him any longer because I was already frustrated, and I felt if I spoke to him more, I would have lost my temper. His attitude made me feel like he’d rather be anywhere else than helping customers.nnWhile this was happening, another customer asked the same employee to call a taxi. Instead of properly arranging it, the employee repeatedly called taxi services saying, “Can I get a taxi service to BP,” and then continuously repeated “BP Kingston.” It was very clear he was just repeating the same phrase over and over, which is why no taxi driver accepted the request.nnTo make matters worse, I went back to the same BP just two nights ago to purchase cigarettes, and he served me with the exact same lack of respect and annoyance. It’s clear this is an ongoing problem with his customer service.nnHonestly, given how dismissive and unprofessional he was, I think he should be let go immediately. Customers deserve staff who are willing to assist and treat people with basic respect.nnI hope BP takes this feedback seriously and improves their customer service at this location.
2pm today at the station, I looking for oil for my car. The bloke working there took the trouble of scanning the bar code on the bottle I'd selected to find out if I had the right one. I didn't...he was so helpful and lovely. A real asset to the business. I wish I'd caught his name. Thank you so much for taking the time and providing excellent customer service.
The BP Ultimate is essential for performance cars. I always get it from here, unfortunately there's been some instances lately where the ultimate is out of order. Guess that's not really an issue as I'm able to get it the next day. Staff are friendly!
Great modern station with friendly staff, premises is kept very clean and tidy .nThe digital tyre pressure pump and Bay works well and fast .nHeaps of food and drink options to satisfy just about anyone’s tastes.
The guy who was working during 9 pm shift today Thursday at Kingston BP Tasmania was very rude. He didnot tell me anything about the door when I made my payment and when I pressed the button to open the door he got angry and was straight up rude. He doesn't know the basic etiquette of customer service. The way he was speaking, this was the worst person to ever serve me.
