Boronia station is closed. Likely till next year. No Myki top up in the area too. Station upgrade construction work is poorly planned unfortunately especially without pedestrian walkways surrounding the area. Pedestrians sharing footpath with cars and buses on the public roads. At the side of the station, public access to the pharmacy is difficult though access into Woolworths is much better. Few roads are blocked off to allow for nearby construction works. Please look after your safety when walking or driving around the area. The works has impacted the community negatively when it is poorly planned and executed.
The vending machines haven't been changed in 20 years. The junkies are scary and so are the eshays, it smells like piss and its near the scariest maccas on earth i hate it there.
Located on the Belgrave line where Puffing Billy lives nestled between Bayswater and Ferntree Gully. It's manned during the day, the trains actually run underground here so there are stairs and also 2 lifts to get up and down to the platforms so it is bike, pram and disabled friendly. The trains sometimes run on time, when you catch a train most times you get to where you want to go relatively on time. You always get a seat this far from town during off peak times. They have Protective Services Officers at night now and it makes you feel more comfortable with your security and safety. It is within walking distance from my home so I don't have to find a park which seems to be at over capacity. There is 2 cats espresso bar just nearby for that nice cup of coffee for your journey. It is a fairly inexpensive form of travel.
One of the better stations around, now with some of the others being done though like Bayswater and Heathmont, I won't have to feel the need to go all the way to Nunawading just to feel sorta safe at night especially!
got stabbed, wouldve given 0 stars, but the concrete walls surrounding the platform were freshly cleaned of vandalism which gave me a stiffy
