The only bank I know that doesn't seem to want you to invest with them...!
The first branch in Toorak Road took copies of our Power of Attorney documents, then demanded we take them to the post office to verify that they were genuine copies, before they would take our money to invest with them..??!! No other bank had such absurd requirements: these people it seems couldn't verify the original documents they held in their own hands - what??
So off we went to the Box Hill branch expecting better - WELL! We didn't even get THAT far, the sour little creature behind the counter wouldn't even look at our Power of Attorney documents this time, (which other banks completely accepted) insisting instead that our ailing mother in a nursing home present herself in person to the branch before they would look at taking her money to invest with their bank.
What sort of bank is this??? What's their motto -  "it's possible to love a bank"..!!! I'm lost for words, as to the reply that motto deserves!
