The coffee is fine. The hot chips are very nice. That’s where it ends. The sausage rolls are like a whole roll of sausage meat has been seasoned and rolled up in a bit of thin pasty. The children’s pasta was incredibly bad. It is basically extremely over cooked penne pasta (to the point that you can’t pick up a piece without it breaking apart on the fork it was so soggy) in a sauce that was just a heated up can of crushed tomatoes. Expensive and rubbish food.

There on Saturday left with a serious stomach problem after the mushroom and pumpkin curry. It was also tasteless!! Rang them, had call back but no confirmation of action today. Suspect the problem was in either food handling or leaving it out at a tepid temperature for way too long, ie not refrigerated. Sound like from other reviews the food has is not great and they are clearly not making changes as the problems keep repeating.

Food is a little pricy for the quality. Is good food but nothing special. Coffee is good staff friendly but if ordering food for table not the fastest.

What a remarkable cafe. A dirty chai crafted to perfection spurred off my morning traipse amongst the abundance of botanical curiosities in the surrounding lands. Parched, famished and soiled, I returned to the Boon Wurrung café. My viscera churned, demanding supplication. Perhaps the "Royal" Botanic Gardens refers to the meals served here, as the Southern Fried Chicken Tower Burger was fit for a king. I sit here, supplicated and rejuvenated. If this food coma is terminal, then I can finally die knowing I have now truly lived.

Avoid the cakes. They are dreadful. Staff nice and view great, but good and drinks let it down
