Book Shack is a "Bookstore with a Difference...Making a Difference".

Sharon Hazel, owner is living her dream, and opened Book Shack in March 2009.

We stock a vast array of good quality secondhand books plus a unique range of Fairtrade/Recycled Gifts, Bags & Book Accessories. Secondhand book titles in a variety of genres ranging in price from 50c Westerns to $12.00 New Release titles. You can return a Book Shack Book with barcode intact and receive a third store credit exchange. Affordable Entertainment.

Relocating from Sandgate & moving to new location - shop under house at 97 Scott Street, Deagon - re-opening 24th September, 2014.

You will also find Book Shack Fairtrade/Recycled stall at many festivals including Woodford Folk Festival , Port Fairy Folk Festival, Brisbane Fairtrade Christmas Markets and many more. Went in to buy one book, walked out with 9. This place is great! Sharon is extremely nice and helpful. They bought 3 books that we no longer needed and the credit went towards our purchase. Wonderful place to find someone else's unwanted treasure! 6 out of 5 stars!

I love BookShack, having been frequenting this gorgeous second hand book store for many years. Sharon is so knowledgeable and can pretty much get anything that she doesn't already have in store as well. Lots of lovely gifts too.
