My father recently spent six weeks staying at Malvern East Horizons in Respite Care. He was extremely satisfied with his stay so applied to transition into permanent aged care. Unfortunately he passed away before he could transition but the staff were wonderful throughout his stay. He had severe mobility and health issues, but the staff did their best to help ensure he was included in as many activities as possible and made to feel welcome. He was also very satisfied with the way the nurses, personal carers and resident doctor did their best to make his stay as comfortable as possible. The facilities are extremely impressive, the room comfortable and well appointed, the staff friendly, the food of high quality and I would have no hesitation in recommending Malvern East Horizons to anyone considering residential aged care.
My father, Max, has been a resident of Horizons in Malvern East for almost two years and has become an active and valued member of the community. It is a light‑filled and welcoming place, with many thoughtfully designed spaces for social activities, physiotherapy, quiet reflection, and a café at the heart of the community where residents and their families can come together.nThe managers and carers are consistently caring, dedicated, and knowledgeable, and they provide genuine support not only to residents but also to their families. While my father was initially hesitant about the transition into aged care, he has since formed meaningful friendships and embraced new opportunities that simply would not have been available had he remained at home.
Placing my mother into respite was something she really didn’t want, and as a family we were very anxious about it. From the moment she arrived, the staff showed such kindness, patience, and genuine care that it completely changed her experience. She is now happy, comfortable, and feels truly cared for. The compassion and dedication of the staff have given us enormous peace of mind, and we are deeply grateful for the outstanding respite care they provide. I cannot recommend this facility highly enough.nThank you Roman, Paramveer, Montana and all the staff at Horizons.
I very much enjoyed my 3 weeks of respite care at HorizonsnThe amenities and location were highly congenial and I loved my room and outlook and the experience gave me a great moodnlift for my recuperation.nThe staff were exemplary in being sensitive to my needs and I was made to feel very welcome and at home.nFinally I very much enjoyed the high standard of the food at meal times.nIn all I had a very happy stay and will be using Horizons as my first port of call in the event of future respite needs.nnRod Niemack
Malvern East Horizons has been a fabulous experience for us in finding an excellent aged care facility for our father, Don . In particular our dealings with Param, Customer Support Manager and his team has been second to none. His professional and friendly approach have made, what can be an otherwise difficult task,easy and enjoyable. Full marks
