Story

Our pharmacy was originaly located in shops 5-6 of Katoomba Fair as 'Katoomba Day & Night' in 1988, it was owned by David Bradbury and his wife Dilys.

In 1991 Allan Byrnes purchased the pharmacy renaming it to 'Allan Byrnes Chemist', In 1991 it was moved to shop 9-11 and renamed 'Allan Byrnes Chemworld'.

Our staff have over 30 years experience in pharmacy, Jenny has been at Allan Byrnes Chemist since 1994 and Bronwyn since 1989.

Our friendly team are dedicated to our customers and providing the best possible service. Our pharmacy provides health checks, diabetes awareness, bounty bags for new mothers as well as information on a huge range of products, conditions and services. We also support many local charities and events.

Knowledgable and helpful staff who are always happy to provide advice. Have saved me a trip to the doctor more than once. An independent pharmacy however so do not expect discount chemist prices on scripts

This pharmacy is fantastic. 
With wide aisles and a spacious design, I think this pharmacy is one of the nicest I have been to.
Looks aside, the store itself has a wide range of stock, with staff happy to help order items in if needed.
I have been to this pharmacy quite a few times, for prescriptions and odds & ends, and have found each experience to be a pleasant one. 
The staff are very attentive and friendly, accommodating to my queries that I have had, and very professional in their service. 
The pharmacists are great with information, from medications to general health questions.
They are very prompt with any issue that I have had (sometimes problems with scripts and such), and I really value the entirety of this pharmacy and all that work there. 
Very professional, kind and intelligent group of people that work there.

Professional, but very expensive. I got a script filled and it cost me double the usual price. I will not be back.

I was amazed to just now read that negative review, I don't even believe it in all honesty! Sue is the best pharmacist I've ever met, she is kind and caring, helpful and very knowledgeable. There isn't even a staff member named Karly who works there, I think that reviewer surely must be telling porky pies for whatever malicious reason! Don't believe that smear campaign review!
